Got mine tore apart right now it blew on #5 in the same spot yours did! Pulling the 2,4,6 head side today but by the look of the plugs I'm sure that side is ok. Thanks for the video.

It also blew a little on #3 not as bad as #5 though. Good that you are also doing the other side as well, It's probably not far from blowing also.

Does these torque spec go for a 1990 Chevy 305 tbi?

Slightly different 305 tbi would be three stages 25lbs, 50lbs, 68lbs. Also the torque pattern is different because the heads are longer and have more bolts, recommend checking manual for proper torque pattern.

Not sure about the torque pattern on the vortec, should be listed in the manual on online.

Was your power steering and drivers side aluminum bracket already off? Why not include it in the video

What are the torque specs for the head bolts?

The final torque spec is 65 foot pounds, but the head bolts need to be torqued in three stages I did it at 20, 45, 65 foot pounds.

First pass 26 ft-lbs, second pass 44 ft-lbs, third pass 66 fl-lbs.
