Chevrolet Silverado Gets a Camouflage Paint Job! "Project SkullDozer"

Time for a new look for the Chevrolet Silverado, aka Project SkullDozer! We've had enough of the white paint job... let's camo it up! We used rattle cans to hook it up. Camouflage paint works great. Very durable paint, has held up to the abuse of constantly driving through the woods. Scratch resistant and has not chipped yet!

I've been looking through camo paint jobs for ideas on finishing my kayak and this is one of the best I've seen for simplicity and impact! Thanks for sharing your work.

I didn't sand my jeep, this paint grabs like crazy. Won't ware off for years . The cans spray heavy too so watch out. Runs easy on vertical surfaces. Go light with several coats, but hoods and roofs go hammers. That's where you need heavy coats to build it up from rain and sun. I recomend (tractor supply) they have one gallon buckets of brush on rustoleum bedliner for 75 bucks. It's 100 bucks every where else. Brush it on your plastic mirrors or fender flares etc. Looks ok, you see brush strokes but you get more coverage then spay cans of the same stuff plus it is thicker and holds up better. Will never come off plastics. I've scuffed trees and it won't come off my bumpers and flares. I bet you can tint the bed liner with an oil base flat paint too ? One thing to remember. This spray paint will not wash off hand prints and spit loogs. Mud yes. Everything else stains paint so if you want it looking pristine don't spit out the window's or touch with greasy hands.

Good looking job man, did you know that the Navy used the same pattern during WWII on the ship during winter months as to off set their outlines? I am doing the same thing using two tones of gray and black and white. I’m not sure as to the number can to get and did you sand after it was painted to knock the lines from the taping? Any advice you can give me would be appreciated we need to get others to do like us and these patterns lol.
@704outdoors

The Navy did a very similar pattern. Called Dazzle-flauge wasn't it?

@@704outdoors was called "razzle-dazzle" camo. I have experienced its disorientating effects. I knew there was something giant in front of me, but my eyes couldn't focus or make out the shape of the ship.
