Chevrolet Sonic - Replace Radio Switch (and Cruise Switch)

Warning, do this at your own risk. I will not be held liable for anyone/anything. Do not disconnect the airbag.
I am replacing the radio switch in my Chevy Sonic because it is worn out. I did not disconnect the battery, but it is recommended. If you want to replace the cruise control switch, you have to do the same thing that I am doing but for the cruise control switch. This is a similar process on other GM vehicles.

Thank you for posting this video. I have yet to find instructions anywhere that detail the process as well as you have here. One big question I can't help but ask: How did the horn still work even though the battery was disconnected?

you should disconnect the battery first, to avoid any accidental triggering of the airbag

This is weird but my trax doesnt have the cruise control on the left side instead it has a plain plastic bit. I dont like how it looks with only the music controls on one side. Do you think id be able to replace the plain plastic with a cruise control switch i found online to make the steering wheel symmetrical? Im hoping that even though theres no switch ill be able to take the piece out anyway
