Chevrolet Trax - RADIO FUSES LOCATION (2013 - 2017)

I have a 2015 chevy trax and my radio will go to high volume without me turning it up and it will change stations on its own. Do you have any idea what that may be?

Hmmm hard to say without looking at it, but I would suspect either a faulty front control panel or radio unit itself. I just had similar thing happening on Ford Explorer and problem was the front radio control panel. It shorted out and started acting weird

thank you for the info. My radio skips station automatically, even on bluetooth it will skip to next song (or go to previous song). It will also start updating the radio automatically or do whatever it feels like...as if someone is using the touch screen to choose random options. I'm hoping this is a fuse problem as well ?!

Hi. that would definitely not be a fuse problem. If fuse problem there would be no power to radio or one of the components. It sounds like the radio / touch screen problem itself

@@angiem08 Probably, but I would scan the system before replacing the radio for any codes. Possibly it only needs software update or reset. I think those touchscreen radios have its own module so it would be worth to access the module. Also try to disconnect battery for 15 min and see if it is better. Also try removing and reinserting the fuse while the vehicle is turned off. That might "reset" it

Ive jst purchased a chevrolet trax 2013 and only my passenger speaker is workinh do you think the fuse would need replacing as the other speakers are not working thnykou

Hi. Fuse is not the problem for sure. I would start by checking the wiring at the driver door jam behind the rubber sleeve. Very often wires will be cracked / damages there. If all good then I would pull out the radio and check all wiring and electrical connections behind it
