Sir, I know I'm late to the party, but can I just say, I am SO GRATEFUL for your video. My manual LIES about how easy, the caps that don't exist, are super easy to remove, etc..etc. and I was almost in tears. Someone on Reddit showed me your video and you saved a grown 40+ year old woman from having a legit freak out session. Thank you for your thoughtful and generous video. You are my HERO while Chevy continues to hate their customers with this ridiculous headlight assembly... you have my eternal gratitude. ❤

It is such a pain yeah i thought i could change mine no problem i have a malibu lat turbo 2014. And ought new bulbs and thought i could do it myself ut holy its stupidly complicated and have put off the change untill i can pay a shop to do it,im paraplegic and usually jad no problem doing it in the past but yeah its too insane for me to do it alone. Tha k you for showing just how much time i saved myself from trying it myself.

I actually managed to get to both the bulb and ballast underneath the headlight without taking the entire bumper apart. My ballast was also bad. Proper tools of course are needed to make this possible.

You don’t need to take the cover off if you maneuver correctly, but its tight

If I ran completely over a curb, and my car start to jerk a bit after I drive, do you know what I could have damaged😫. It seems like my alignment and suspension is straight but I also feel like I hear the engine blowing out a lot more air.

I have seen no videos where they don’t take the bumper off. I don’t see how you get the fixture out without doing it.

Show a video of how you can get to those screws that hold the HID bulb in place without removing the headlight assembly. You're probably talking about non-HID bulbs. No bumper removal for those.
