Chevy Borg-Warner transfer case 1370/4401/4470/4472

I had no idea there was that many options for those trucks back in the day. Pretty amazing how much longer they are compared to the NP241

Yup, 4 different Borg Warner cases, with a couple of different configurations for the K3500 trucks & NP241C & NP208c transfer cases for the K1500 & K2500 trucks. Not just longer either, the whole case is considerably larger. The Borg Warner case just dwarfs the New Process case.

Thanks! I'm still constantly learning new things about this era of trucks. Yeah, the size difference is kinda mind blowing! Gotta work so I can keep putting money into my projects!

Can any of these transfer cases bolt up to any th350-400 transmissions?

They should bolt up to the TH400, with the proper transfer case adapter. The TH400 & 4L80E share the same output shaft size. The TH350 shares the same (smaller) output shaft size as the 700r4 & 4L60E and will not work with the Borg Warner transfer case. Remember, the Borg Warner cases need a switched power for the clutch pack.
