At 22:02 Emily you made me miss my second Jen. When you hugged Aaron. U2 work so good together. I had a “car chick “ that worked with me on every project we had in the shop just like you two We had kind of eccentric taste in vehicles like you do too. From my matching numbers all original 68 GTO and her pristine 72 yellow Karmin Ghia,, our 3 1/2 Suzuki samurai’s. His, Hers daily’s…the crawler “ on 36” swampers and matching trailer and my 65 VW bus. Just to name a few. Between the two of us we owned 42 cars before I got diagnosed with Parkinson’s at age 44 and she left me after 13 years of marriage. I miss The time we spent in the garage. It’s scary how quickly life can change. You two give each other a hug for me your biggest fan Lyon.

One thing that I really like about your channel is that you don't try to rebuild things to be perfect. I drive a 1997 Ford F250 and I was thinking about doing a complete body and paint job on it. The cost was way out of my budget, so I just do the things to keep it running good and looking as nice as I can within reason.

For a non performance vehicle, an auto transmission is wonderful. That power steering in a big Truck is fantastic to have, saves your arms and makes it a joy to drive. I always enjoyed automatic transmissions. I had a racing auto transmission in my 71 lemans, loved that it chirped gears. Mostly I loved the auto transmission when I used to go to the shore almost every weekend. 1 hour ride till you hit stop and go traffic just inching along for an hour or two or three in Jersey. It totally would kill your clutch leg. Love the video's by the way. keep it up.

I had a rig like yours with the exception that mine was a long bed with a wood floor. Mine did have power steering and the four speed but no air. Given your location, I sure get the addition of air. I was always glad that it had power steering when I was backing boats because some of the landings could be tricky. I always enjoyed the four speed and never minded it at boat landings or other situations but that's just my preference. The granny gear came in handy sometimes. I love Garfield and am glad to see him getting some love.

I have one suggestion to the cooling system. There is a large gap between core support and shroud .You should fill the gap in with some abs plastic sheet or Sheetmetal . As easy as you can add both of those, I would a thought you'd have changed it long ago. Everything to do these swaps, is in a salvage yard. Manual steering, in anything, is a work out. Not to mention all of the added movements you have to do to shift a manual trans. You hit the nail on the head when you said it's a joy to drive You have sponsors that will supply most anything you'd need. Making an inventory before you even begin is a big help to getting it all in, and working. My project Im in the middle of is a 302 swap in a Ranger. The trans is an older AOD that's been rebuilt. I've had it running on electronics but the used wiring harness caused so many problems, I gave up and took the AODE out, stripped the electronics totally out, and I haven't gotten it started yet. All of the pieces to adapt it into my truck, came from an explorer. A few minor changes to body work, so the newer hood will fit. I've gotten to see a lot of y'alls projects and you know as well as I do, things will happen. Life is what's holding me up from being able to drive it. My motor has minor changes made to it. Good, solid bump stick, longer rocker arms, for added lift n duration. It a two barrel for now. I want to add a few other things so it'll be a totally one off truck. You both are really good folks and I like to support people who know how to pay it forward. Good luck to you both and I look forward to more of your projects.

I had a '68 CST with a 396 and the spacer was well guarded. Very hard to find. Great adds to Garfield. Y'all are going to get spoiled. What's next? A working speedometer? Remove the 3rd pedal? Cruise control? Power windows? Happy birthday, Aaron!🎉🥫 Keep up the good work, life and lack of variety!!
