Actually not true at all. He did indeed play drums for Donald Fagen and Walter Becker in a small garage band they had together at Bard College but before Steely Dan was formed. Thank goodness he didn't drum with Steely Dan or we may have missed out on a lot of hilarious movies etc....

I've seen and read this before. Not ONCE has Chevy demonstrated his perfect pitch ability. Just because I'm curious, I'd like to see him do it.

You can't hear perfect pitch. He has very good pitch. Technically perfect pitch is being able to sing a given note on the scale on command. For example if someone says sing a middle C, if you have perfect pitch you would be able to do it without the aid of a piano or other instrument. It's a kind of pointless skill that doesn't have much to do with someone's ability to generally sing right in the middle of a note (I.e not flat or sharp), or maintain pitch without accompaniment.

@@brendant19 one time I saw a singer with perfect pitch lead the band in at the start of the tune. She didn't need a reference note to start which was neat. I guess she could of just used a pitch pipe or something tho...
