I went with Diode Dynamics LEDs all around on my ZR2. They’re very nice. Just know that any light with a blinker function will need one of their resistors spliced into the circuit to trick the car’s computer into thinking there are still incandescent lamps installed. Otherwise, it will think the lamps are out and will not blink the LEDs even though they will still be working in a static state.

Helpful video.Beautiful truck! I love the chevy performance exhaust the most due to it being the most modest of all the choices.. the magnaflow and flowmasters are cool but to much honda civic sounding.

Just purchasing a 2021 Bison myself. The performance intake & exhaust weren’t fitted on the vehicle I ended up with but thanks to your video, I now know that it’s definitely possible to add later. I (mistakenly) thought it was a factory-order only option... To answer the question, “What next?” I would very much like to see the OEM lighting overhaul/replacement you mentioned. I want to do this as well - bad lighting is a pet peeve - so any recommends would be very helpful. Currently looking at Baja replacement fogs, light bar and rear lighting to start.

I realize this video is over 2 years old at this point but I had to let you know that THIS is what convinced me to make this mod. I just completed it this morning and it came out great. If I could make one critique; according to the instructions in the package, the two nuts attaching the front pipe should be torqued to 33 lb ft, not 45. (I doubt it makes a real difference) otherwise, your install was spot-on. The only anxiety I had was mentally convincing myself to start pulling parts off of my brand new truck! Thanks for a great video.

The guy in the back with the bison painting... *chef kiss* Also the 'snorkel' doesn't actually improve the wading depth which is set by some electronics and not the air intake... according to ColoradoFans anyway.

Yes indeed. Apparently more for clean air when it’s dusty.

@@JasonExplainsThings That said the wading depth is pretty good, def higher than I'd ever want to try! I think for the 33" AEV tire kit and intake I'd go to a pro shop.

Did you buy / install the CORSA Performance 14745 or the GM Performance Exhaust 84179066? Are they considered exactly the same?

The one we installed had a GM part number. Comparing the two side by side they appear almost identical minus different exhaust tips. Looks like you can save a little money and get the CORSA one.

It doesn’t feel quicker or lighter at all? I’m in it for the noise but I was hoping it would make help with Mpg at least a little 👌🏽 I drive 50 miles in a straight line to work every day, so I figured the lighter exhaust and decrease in back pressure would alleviate some of the resistance the truck may face on the highway 🛣️

At the time Chris didn’t notice a difference. I’ve had similar experiences with intakes. You most likely would need a tune to take advantage of performance parts.

Question, would you all know where I could get a Bison Grill for my 2021 Colorado? Everywhere I look they have it for every year but 2021, I found 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018,2020. But not 2021, they all say "Does not fit"' but they look identical. I watched a video of one guy swapping his stock grill for a Bison grill. Looks great, it was a 2020, looks exactly like my 2021!!! Doesn't ANYONE know how to drive or at least test drive a 2WD, or ANY accessory added to same? They are lighter, quicker, cheaper, get better fuel mileage, less maintenance, have the same number of ACTUAL drive wheels ( if 2wd has "posi")- 4wd one front and one rear - 2wd two rear. Stop and STEER as good or BETTER, and MOST PEOPLE THAT OWN A 4WD NEVER GO OFF ROAD!!!!! Hell my dad plowed for eight years with a 2wd ( and NO "posi"). How about someone doing a test of two vehicles , all the same "stuff", same make and model, just 2wd vs 4wd. Acceleration - 0-60, 1/4 mile,30 MPH roll, Stopping ( to be far hear both vehicles should have the SAME TIRES - as they and ONLY TIRES provide traction - the drive Only puts power to the tires), maybe even set up a timed slalom course in a parking lot. How about it????????????????? ANYONE - ANYWHERE , prove me right or wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jerry, if you browsed my channel I have a whole series about fixing up a 2WD truck. It’s great for many things… terrible in the snow.
@jerryhorn36213 жыл бұрын
@@JasonExplainsThings Your videos on modifications are very nicely done! BUT 2WD'S ARE NOT TERRIBLE IN THE SNOW. They stop and steer the same. 2wd only accelerate slower ( in a bad traction situation especially if a l "locking" type diff. is not present. Why do you thing Drag cars are All most all 2wd! There are Front wheel drive ( also 2 wheels) because people own them some there are classes for then ( revenue for the track). There are Rally Cars also 2wd some rear mostly front. There time are very close to AWD and 4WD classes. My dad PLOWED for 8 years in upstate NY with a 68 Dodge Camper Special D200, 4speed manual, WITHOUT ( sure grip - Mopars Locking diff.). I would just like someone somewhere to do the test I put in my comment to try and prove me wrong. And accelerating faster in poor conditions just gets you to "the accident first". I have never owned a 4wd! have lived in upstate NY all my life ( now 68) Syracuse Averages 130" plus a year. If 4wd was in fact better every race car would have it. As cost of "Race Team" vehicle in usually never considered. I am NOT seeking other peoples modifications, built quite a few cars of my own. Present car has a 689HP-675 lb.ft. motor. Again complaint is NO one test to do the 4wd vs 2wd ( with a locker) test comparison. Your mods. like most can be done to each type of dive system. That you do well. Get tired how people just say 4wd is better without proving it. If it said enough people tend to believe. It IS NOT BETTER it is Different. Designed for specific purpose that most never use.
