This is how to change to O2 sensors on my 2011 1.4 turbo! This is both up and down stream. Make sure you unplug the battery first! BS16736 down BS16737 up

Best way is from the top for the downstream...but instead of using the claw o2 socket get or rent from AZ or Adv an o2 sensor kit...in there will be a deep o2 socket...or u can buy one pit it on the sensor the wire will come out the side slit get at least 24 inch extension and hit it with an impact gun...battery or compressor...will come right out and not break the vacuum hoses....if u dont have an impact go by any muffler shop and tell them to just loosen the o2 for u for a couple bucks real quick and u can go home and swap them yourself....

Hey quick question I recently replace both of my O2 sensors on my 2014 Chevy Cruze turbo a few months ago along with that I had to replace the catalytic converter and also the transmission ignition coil and spark plugs & knock sensor And I recently got all this done in the over the last 3 months . so I thought all my problems were gone and I picked my car up today from my mechanic. I barely made it off of street before the car started jerking and immediately reducing my foot all the way down on the pedal there was nothing at all, stuck in the middle of the road, and then I got to the red light and it just started shaking and then cut off completely but crank back immediately. The check engine light came on and the codes are P0132 P0134 and I am aware that those are the O2 sensors but it’s weird because I’ve had those replaced maybe six months ago if that I don’t know if it’s because they’re aftermarket O2 sensors so should I try the O2 sensors from GM? Somebody help please.

Strange, i would start by using two cans of fuel system cleaner, maybe a fuel injection is dirty or bad? Don’t really know other than a scan tool that shows fuel trims.

Do O2 sensor Spacers fit on these ok? P0420 code, i would hope only an O2 sensor problem, only 70,000 miles, and I’m selling the car so I just want a cheap fix, sense I’m not even positive it’s an O2 sensor failure, but if it is at least people aren’t going to get scared off by the check engine light if I can just put in a spacer and fix the issue
@Mr95Kenny2 жыл бұрын
In today’s market you should be able to sell it without fixing, but two O2 sensors might fix it.

Would you wait to change them until you get a code or change them after a certain amount of miles?

Are the sensors the same oem numbers for upstream and downstream for a 2018 chevy cruze???
@Mr95Kenny2 ай бұрын
Different sensors than one in video, but for 2018 one # for both 12701634
@alv17002 ай бұрын
@@Mr95Kenny I did replace one with 12701634 but the original OEM are 12663317. I found 12663317 for sale and matched the same numbers on the original sensor on the car. I got the 12663317 for $20 brand new.

I see your question is over 2 years old but for anybody that wishes to know, sometimes there are no symptoms with a bad O2 sensor other then a check engine light and a code of P0130 detected with an OBDII scanner. There are cheap ones available for around $40 for your own personal use since you don't need an expensive professional mechanics type. Other symptoms can be- •bad fuel economy •black smoke exhaust from overly rich fuel mixture •rotten egg odor from exhaust •bucking or surging engine performance • a code P0420 suggesting bad catalytic converter given by faulty O2 sensor relaying false info to the computer. A simple heat performance test with a $40 laser temp gun can determine if the converter is functioning properly thereby indicating a faulty O2 sensor. There are many videos on utube to show how to perform this test. There are also many videos showing how to check an O2 sensor with a standard volt/ohm meter. If you wish to spend a little more then $40 you can buy an OBDII scanner that can provide live status to actually read if the O2 sensor is good or bad. There's a couple videos available on that procedure also.😎

I have 119k on my 2014 Cruze. I haven’t gotten a code for either O2 sensor. What do you think, change them now or wait until I get a code?
@koreymayo88843 жыл бұрын
Why not just do it from underneath the car, so nothing is in your way and so you don't break anything?
@Mr95Kenny3 жыл бұрын
If you can yes, but this one was a pain to break loose

@@Mr95Kenny yeah I actually tried under the car today and couldn't get enough leverage on an open ended wrench and then I could find my oxygen sensor adapter and don't have enough extensions to reach from the top. How many inches of extensions do I need to reach from the top? Looks about like 3 freaken feet lol
