How come the long press the traction control button is nowhere to be found on videos I've watched regarding stabilitrak issues. I've looked at the owner's manual, it's not there or I've missed it. But I somehow found a way to deal with stabilitrak now. Thank you

The Manual option is great for getting out of a snowy parking lot or driveway. You keep it in low gear to get out of the snow without spinning the tires. Worked great this weekend when we got a foot and a half of snow dumped all at once.

Your comment is 9 months ago so I'm sure you've figured out your problems by now but for a future reference for anyone else reading this my equinox had this light come on and you need to use a scan tool that reads abs and it should tell you what's wrong. In my case it was a bad speed sensor. I picked up a new one at a parts store and it's an easy installation which saved me a bunch of money.

Hey...our 2011 Chevy Equinox has issues with its stability control. The warning light comes on and the the engine loses power...from 100 km to 40km in moments!!! My husband uses this car to drive to and from work out of town. He drives the TCH to Golden BC from Malakwa BC.

Hi guys, me too I had a lot issues last winter with this Chevy Equinox mine is 2015 but the only solution do that stop that issue is put tires for all weather I rally recommend it now is working Good;)

Yes, the solution almost cost my husband his life ( no joke) , it was a sensor in the underside of the car. It kept turning the car off as it became covered in slush from the highway. The company replaced the sensor on recall. We eventually just replaced the car.

Ben, I have a 2009 Saturn Outlook and I had the same problem, only the stability light would come on with the trac tion control and brake light all in one . I checked my brake pads and the rear ones had about 1/4 pad left , replaced all four with lifetime warranty ceramic pads, No more lights. Problem solved ! Hope this helps you .

Benjamin Espinoza on my Chevy Impala it came on because my speed sensor went bad. It can be a number of things really. It's best to let them test it before replacing brakes or any other parts randomly.
