You did a great job! I've got two Luvs. An 80 I bought new and still in great shape, and a '76 California Stepside I'm restoring. When I installed that carpeting in my Stepside it was rather bulky in the transmission hump area, so I filled that excess bulk with extra carpet underlayment foam I had left over from our home carpeting and it worked fine. ;-)

Beautiful looking little truck here. Wish thse little trucks would come back on the market once again. I do, very much like the 1972 LUV trucks to the 1980 years, the most beautiful of them all was towards the end from 1975 till 1980 years.

So true on that boot kit. I need to fix a rusted passenger floor that has some holes before I can do carpet on mine.
@gadsdonflag42893 жыл бұрын
You can fiberglass those holes (not body putty) and it works great and quite inexpensive to do.
@origionalbrand3 жыл бұрын
@@gadsdonflag4289 I don’t know anything about fiberglass but I’ll look into it.

Awesome! I'm looking at an excellently restored 79 Luv in Tacoma area for $7000. Do you think it can be my daily driver? I work 15 min from home, golf 5 min from home.

I got mine on eBay. When searching for parts, search for Isuzu KB20 instead of Chevy LUV. You will get better results.

@@luisosoriothelionelmessian9845No, the Chevy LIGHT UTILITY VEHICLE LUV for short was built by Isuzu motor Corporation. In about 1995, I owned a GMC Sonoma truck and it had a Isuzu engine in it. Although, in the General Motors Corporation Chevy, Isuzu, Toyota, Suzuki,Daywoo and Hummer are all in the General Motors line up. A Chevy GEO PRIZM is a Toyota Corolla and both take Toyota Camery brake pads. The Pontiac Aztec was made by Toyota fir Pontiac motor division.
