Had my Silverado ZR2 with the 6.2 for over a year. No major issues with it - just some recall items. Borla Touring and S Type kits bolt on - and the trucks just got unlocked with HP Tuners.

As the proud owner of both a 2021 Trail Boss 6.2L AND a 2023 Colorado ZR2, I couldn’t be happier with Chevy trucks. Silverado is great for power, towing, payload, and plenty of space, while the Colorado is great for our AZ desert Baja runs and camping/off-roading.

I’ve got the 2020 Trail Boss and love it. But since the 2500 ZR2 was announced I’ve had my eye on that. Payload is the limiter on the Trail Boss and the 2500 lets me keep the great looks and performance of an off road trim while adding payload and keeping the towing I’d need.

So Jealous.. my first new truck I ever owned was a '97 S10 ZR2.. and I went on to get (2) more.. and kept my '02 S10 ZR2 up until 2 years ago. I have moved on to the Fullsize Silverado's.. but that new Colorado ZR2 Bison has me wanting to revisit my youth. Great Video!!

I love the center console shifter. The old school console shifters suck. I'm not a fan of these 4cylinder motors. The driving experience is lack luster because it's always shifting and revving hard. They feel cheep as well.

So awesome for you! The Colorado is *near* perfect. It needs the 3.0 LZ0 Duramax, the yellow interior stitching needs to go, as well as the urban camo interior trim. Finish it off with features mostly standard (or as an available option) with a power rear slider. Then you have perfection.

I just wonder if the AC condensers, torque converter problems and of course the legendary lifter issues have been addressed by GM. I highly doubt it and will make these trucks “ticking time bombs” as my Silverado. Traded mine in last week for something reliable.

Awesome video. I've been interested in getting the Colorado ZR2 because I had to get rid of my trailboss almost 2 yrs ago. The gas was killing me back n forth to work. So I've been eyeing up the Colorado and I've heard nothing but good things about them. Can't wait to see the price difference between the ZR2 n Bison. Turn the sound off and I was immediately back in Afghanistan traversing the the badlands on patrol from village to village looking for tali-whackers (taliban) in the hmmwv. Being that you went to the Mojave, the army then sent me to fort irwin to train war bound units. As Cadre, we were each issued a HMMWV to follow the units and they continued thier mission set and fought the OPFOR! THIS VIDEO WAS AWESOME!!! (Monus all the luxury, comfort, and no threat, I felt all the moments of those memories in watching this episode!

Congrats on getting invited to something so cool! i started watching your videos a couple years ago when i bought my 2020 Silverado LT V8. Just recently got the 23’ 2.7l LT and i really don’t like it at all, MPG is worse than my V8 was, i guess you gotta spend $$$$$$ to get all the cool stuff to make it worth it. It does pick up quicker than my V8, but it’s not the same, i won’t get another 2.7. Thanks for sharing all the fun with us!!
