Chevy S10 convertable 355 ci V8

like the body kit you put on it looks nice on this truck. i want to do this to my 92 s10 but from what i gather it costs around 7 grand would rather buy a fast car for that and just leave my truck the way it is for haulin stuff

yeah i have an 83 and thats the same dash i have... i like the older 6 guage dashes a lot

middle 2 cylinders. and yea, they have the same bellhousing bolt pattern. sbc and the 4.3 are interswappable

@evhgl87 A 92 is basically the same as an 87, that way to 93. There are kits that assist you in installing v8 in these S10's without moving the firewall. If you stay with a small block, you'll be fine. Not saying you won't have fitment issues possibly with headers, but that can be worked with as well. Check your forums, read all you can find.

@9F1F1A 355 rocket engine, it's an oldsmobile engine. 302 chevy small block in the late 60's early 70's in the camaro ss. Then 327, 350, 383, 396, 403 is actually a smallblock but it's bored out so much it's considered a big block.besides the 302 the rest are the same block just bored differently with different stroke rates.

good sounding 355 nice truck not much for convertable tipe I jut like having extra suport around me if somthing goes rong but looks sweet.

raykeens, a 350 is a smallblock v8, a 355 is just a regular 350 but punched out like .30 i think

No firewall mods at all. The motor is just longer in the front if you leave your 700r4 in place. you may have to run a electric fan is all.

you can get kits that come with headers that fit the s-10

the V8 S10's had a 0-60 rating of 4.1 seconds thats hella quick for a damn truck

i had read it in a book i think called 1001 greatest cars. had a picture of a Veyron on the front cover. The V8 S10 was in there and it said its 0-60 was 4.1 seconds.......................sounds too good to be true though doesnt it =/

Cold air intake means the edelbrock intake has a an open air passage under the plenum for cold air to pass through. Not sure how effective that design was. A tach setting has nothing to do with the way an engine idles, it measures the rpms of the engine.

thats prety nice...i dont like that thing under the front bumper..but im now a low rider guy..check outmy s10 vid.. took to s10s one with bent frame and built one nice one..i like it.i just got the 4.3 v6.. what mods do you have to do for big block?

ford did a better job with the 289, and the 302 5.0, other than the original 69 camaro with the 350 thats the only chevy beast in my book! but then again im old school so if ya ask me when mustang came with the 302 it was a beast!

no thay did not from the factory the small blocks that chevy made are 265,283,302,305,307,350and 400 and from thoes you can mak 377,383,355 and others that i cant remember lol

Take that Edelbrock carb off and throw it in the trash, and put a Holley on it!!! Edelbog's are junk... the design is from a Carter AFB Dodge carb that Edelbrock redesigned and F'D up... I promise a 650 double pumper will wake it up
