I loved the "you can" video phrase ... That rice crispy noise - "snap, cracel, & pop" has been vrey noisy for the past year on my Suburban ... However recently when commanded to open the lift motor (inside the left lift arm) would not spin to lift ... It took a few moments of gently nudging the door for the motor to wake up... This video identifies that " I can" and will do this replacement very soon ! Thank you 😅

Thank you, spent about 20 minutes after following your video. Only thing was I couldn’t get the rubber boot to fit into the plastic, but it still fit perfectly without. Thanks again

Thank you! This seems simple enough! How do I know before buying the new parts that the issue is with the poles and not the wiring?

hey yall should put the devotional shorts or encouragement you put on Facebook on here to. Makes it easier for me to share with people that don't have social media

We will start doing that. KZbin has been more of our DIY platform for a while, but why not both. Lol

Do they just clip in? You mentioned releasing clips, but I didn't see if you have to do anything to clip the new ones in.

They just clipped in. Taking the old ones out required pulling them, but not installing the new ones.

How long did it work correctly. I replaced mine with OEM units about a year ago. The factory service manual says you have to have the liftgate control ECU programmed to the new actuator. I did not have the ECU programmed and it worked for a few weeks and then started doing all kinds of bizarre behavior. I convinced the dealer I bought the actuator from to give me a new one on warranty. I installed the new one and then found a shop with the proper 2-way tool and they programmed it. Well now, after about a year, it is not working correctly any more. I will open with any of the methods to open it but it will not close accept manually. The actuator doesn't make any bad noises and is smooth when manually closing it.
