The center bore on my truck is 77.80 cm which is stock so i bought aftermarket rims with stock CB of 77.80 cm however upon looking for spacers online the only spacers i found from various brands are the ones with 78.1 cm and hub centric which confusing any ideas if they would fit my rims? I'm opting for hub centric spacers instead of non hub centric.

So if I get the 1.5 inch spacers, I won't have to cut my studs down, correct? And I'm better off spending the extra for the hubcentric ones, huh?

Scott Wright correct. 1.5” will bolt right on. and yes 100% get hubcentric. The purpose for the new lug nuts with the spacer is to use those new lug nuts to bolt the spacer on and your factory lug nuts are supposed to Be used to wheel back on Also, you should not have to Grind the studs down at all because if you look at your wheel you will see there is an open space on your factory wheels where the wheel spacer lug nut stick up a little bit. Check it out. Next time. You have your tires off. Look at your rim, You will see how there is openings. On some aftermarket rims, they are flat and you might have to grind them down, but all GM rims nowadays. Are hollowed out in that area
@kaylamcgrath58665 жыл бұрын
the lug nuts included with the spacers are the ones to be used on the spacers and the factory lug nuts stay on the rim. also it is always a good idea to use a little bit of thread lock on the original studs so the spacers cant back off. also i would not recommend using the type of spacers used in this video because they are not hub-centric and that increases your chances of 1. vibration.2.wheels loosening up.3 studs braking especially when towing. otherwise good video

Decent job. Not quite complete though and chance of failure is there. The best way to complete the installation of a wheel spacer is to re-torque and apply loctite while re-torquing. And how that is done is by removing the wheel and then removing one lugnut at a time on the spacer while applying loctite. Then torque it to specification. Repeat on all lugs. But most importantly. Only do on lug at a time.

So you spoke about full size trucks having different bolt patterns and put stock rims back on, what was the point of pointing out the difference in bolt pattern?
@RydogsGarage4 жыл бұрын
00THOMPSON00 back then it was budget. could have put a cheep set of wheels from a silverado on or a aftermarket wheel where i wouldn’t need wheel spacers. after my more years of experience i don’t run spacers on my new truck and never will. just back then and still now barely any aftermarket wheels are 6x5 like the triablazer has. so you have to run a adaptor spacer to a 6x5.5 to then get a huggeeee aftermarket wheels selection but still got to run a spacer. it’s just a bad situation in general.

@RydogsGarage4 жыл бұрын
00THOMPSON00 well they where for the same bolt pattern strictly so i could run the 32” tires i had gotten cheep from a buddy that fit on the stock TB wheels. and not rub. if i had the money at the time i would have just bought wheels too. cause you can run a adaptor to 6x5.5, that’s skinny and run a full size wheel. where i had to run 1.5” spacers on a stock wheels to make the tires not rub. and big spacers are bad for suspention components. running a adaptor to switch to the 5.5 bolt pattern is your best bet cause then you can have huge aftermarket option of wheels.
