Chevy U Joint Replacement suburban/Tahoe/Yukon NBS

This video is a tutorial on how to replace the U joints on a Chevrolet suburban. It should work for Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon and Yukon XL. In this video I show how to remove an aftermarket U joint in a factory steel driveshaft as well as a OE U joint.

How is it running now? My 00 has 223k miles and people are surprised it's still running. Heard the 4L60E is trash, but curious to how many miles I have left on her

The wax seal was new but melted out easily with the torch.

It vibrates like crazy again with the new ujoint. It still has play but the seal seemed fine. I need help😥

@@cztkxz4102 yea the vibration in my truck wasn't the ujoints. So I changed the front driveshaft. Still vibration. It clunks going into reverse. Going to change the transfer case next.

I suspect all my ujoints are bad after 200k+ on the oem though there’s no visible issues I think they’re probably all dried out as well as the yokes dry but I pulled my retainer bolts and tried to pry the shaft back but it wouldn’t budge and I don’t have a way to safely raise the rear without it rolling Though mine is a Denali AWD and should hold on the front diff I don’t trust it

What I do sometimes is lay a jackstand down sideways on the front and back of the tire

You're one hundred percent right on the bushing part. It will have to be replaced and if you want the the rear seal to hold.
