I chewed this stuff occasionally when I was in high school back in the 90s when it first came out from what I remember it was rather sweet and lasted a long time even when gnawing on it.

This and Big Duke have always been my favorite budget loose leaf chews. Nothing beats Redman Original, but Trophy is much cheaper and tastes almost as nice.

I bought this recently as was pleasantly surprised. I'm shocked to say that I'm tempted to buy it again and probably will. It was rather good and lasted long. For the price, it's a trophy. Thanks for another great review!

I tried this chew probably 15 years ago and HATED it. ...but that's when I was a Levi Garrett snob. I probably need to try it again. My standards have adjusted my standards since top shelf chews are 9 bucks a bag. I love star and would never have considered it back then.

I heard u say in the whitetail alternatives review that u drank heavily for 20 yrs I’m 35 yrs old been sober now for a year with family I drank a 30 pack of natural ice a day love your reviews man I vape but still dip sometimes congrats if you cut back or quit drinking and smoking cigs

Well this is interesting. Once again saw this chew made the cut of m'lady's paw paw and I saw it sitting on the counter and took a small whiff of the bag and noticed a real natural smell, didn't bother to open it but I was intrigued since I know he only gets the good stuff and picked up a 2-bagger just now. I'm pleasantly surprised in the smell, this isn't something that I've smelled before in a chew. It smells EXACTLY like Peter Stokkebye's 701 Virginia - which is also what I smell from a secondhand first drag of a Winston ultra light. So, this seems to be mostly a flue-cured virginia - that smell you can't hide! Also got the Stoker's Apple today - apple pie in a bag. Ah man, National makes some damn good products. VERY twangy, fruity, grassy, sweet smell which will be familiar to RYO or pipe enthusiasts. It's fun to note the similarities in tobaccos used across the board.
