Byzantium has really good conversion speed. Nothing to do with monuments nuh-uh. Not the base 15% missionary strength plus either 8 or 6 percent for Heretic or Heathen, nope. Convert heathen Jerusalem in 9 months. "All Byzantium" lmao

Even when you search for byzantine crowns in google, most of the results are the holy crown. So no one can really blame you for mistaking it for a byzantine one.

I wanna suggest a simple one: EU4 but Japan is united (and colonial) in 1444. Japan gets their modern borders, and start with exploration-expansion ideas. I've always wanted to see what a colonial AI Japan would do to this game, and it's a shame it never really happens normally.

It's cause it can't. Only a few nations are able to take Exploration and half of them die before getting to use it (Scotland, Brittany etc) or don't form early/often enough to do so (Ireland, Netherlands etc) I would have liked an option to turn off that limiter cause certain places like Korea, Japan, Mali etc are really well suited to colonial empires

@@luminousluma im not sure if its related to ports or not, i tried to look into it but everything online is 8 year old posts from when the game had less provinces than risk. but you are right, mamluks do take them though i havent seen a mamluk australia since like 2018 personally, i miss it. You also reminded me of Hadramut, i dont know why but those guys ALWAYS find a way to survive by island hopping around the pacific while ottos destroy their homeland.
