Hi guys... Appreciate so much all your comments! When I uploaded this video and watched again, I thought "Aiya, this has become a cooking show more than camping". Little did I know that you guys like the cooking too and I even got more advice from experienced chefs. Cook on Exora seems like the way to go. My one year culinary course didn't fail me. Will share more simple recipes. Thanks once again everyone!

Hey I dreamt many years ago and researched, even plan to "renovate" the car but then I came to realise we only need this much to survive - a place to sleep, water, electricity and a place to dump, the rest can be fancy like a kitchen which I love so a foldable table does the trick too. Once I collected everything, I jalan! Is not a perfect setup but good enough to survive. So yeah, just do it!!

Cool, an interesting video as I wasn't really aware of many people camping in Malaysia. Your setup is interesting but if you want to do more I would suggest getting a deep-cycle battery as your 'house' battery, as starter batteries aren't well designed for continual charging and discharging. I can imagine how hard it would be to get solar power over there with all the clouds. You seem to be more free to camp over there, we have so many rules hare and would be fined by the local ranger for over-nighting in places like that.
@ChewHoongLing
@ChewHoongLing 5 жыл бұрын
Yeah a deep cycle battery is expensive here and since I don't go camp that often, the current batt serves its purpose for now. Solar panel works actually, just that mine was damaged. Yeah, plenty of places to camp here.

I enjoyed your video and what a great mindset. This is one way I would advocate to anyone especially the young and retired to travel far and wide. Extremely mobile and practically cost next to nothing. If done smartly what a way to travel everywhere and also the amazing experience of being free and mobile. It is an exhilarating experience none could match. It teaches about independence, minimalistic about life and be close to mother nature. Well done and keep going. It is a way too to a debt free lifestyle, something I want to show people how to realize this dream. With a stress free what else in life to match!
@ChewHoongLing
@ChewHoongLing 4 жыл бұрын
Yes debt-free and minimalist caught my attention. In fact, the more I feel I am indulging in luxuries, I will go one trip out to nature this way to feel "enough". Once I can live with so little and be close to nature, it becomes satisfying and life can be lived simply
@chaikiankhiong

That's a nice setup there. But just be careful while using auto batteries inside the cabin as they might release hydrogen. Sulphuric acid spill hazard is also there. Overall its a good setup. Stay safe and have fun!

@ChewHoongLing

@@ugmarco5997 can buy car battery charger to charge at home or just charge at mechanics. The inverter I bought online came with red black clips. Then just plug 3-pin plug to the inverter. Hope this helps

It is good but folding back the seats doesn't quite leave enough space for a big guy like me to snuggle for sleep comfortably. I do my camping in a Dihatsu Van where I have taken out all the seats save for the Driver and front passenger seat. From my home in Petaling Jaya, I only trek up to just one place....Frasers Hill, ever so often. Three hours away and you are in another temperate land in Springtime. Lovely cool breezes, amazing greenery all around and at night freezing temperatures sometimes. Have converted my few electrical appliances so that they only require the 12V DC supply from the car. Favourite past time here, naps in the afternoon with the windows down and watching movies on my media pad while having a cold beer at night. Life is truly what you make of it and it can be amazing really like you sister, Joey

Hoong Ling...firstly...kudos to your bravery .... especially at the beach whether got light or not. Secondly your creativity is really good especially your electrical system. By the way...solar panels to charge your battery is available online. This would be useful when you are camping for a couple of days. Thirdly...maybe you should start a "bring your home camping" group and that way a group of you in a convoy could go camping together. It will also be a lot of fun especially if you find prople that are similar to your liking...good luck .

Hi thanks so much for your comment. Yes I had a solar panel but spoilt and looks like I don't need one for now. I always go on adhoc basis and no planning. I mostly volunteer for NGOs so my weekends are busy and available only on weekdays - contrary to most people's schedule
