He was being true to the person he had become...old Han would have sneaked away to fight another day. New Han was willing to die to bring his son back. Even knowing that if he didn't succeed, his death could help begin the process.

Tompan200 but the way they finally ended off his story by having a memory of Han be the thing that turns ben back to the light is the exact send off that a character like that deserves. Much better than Luke’s which I don’t even think is that bad.

Han was his hero and I grew up being a fan as well, made me feel closer to my dad. When han was killed off it destroyed my heart. It was like I lost my dad but i witnessed it. This made me laugh cry and smile. Thank you for this HFP. You will never know how deep this has touched my heart. As han said to luke, May the force be with you.

"No one is ever really gone" ;-) right? Even if they are just a memory or even someone else's memory you carry them forward, like an Olympic athlete carrying a torch. Jesus says we are like lights, that we are torches on a lamp stand to give light to the house and the world. Through Jesus, we have eternal life. I pray you get to see your Father someday. As I pray I get to be with my dad too whom I miss very much. May the force, but more importantly, God be with us all.

Yeah did u like solo I really want to now my dad saw the og in theaters & he thinks it's ok
@landonor15 жыл бұрын
There is no easy answer to that question. Solo was the rebel in all of us (no pun intended) as Lucas viewed a “devil may care” rebel to be. Therefore, even though he had a huge hand in the movie, Han Solo was never going to be the rebel in Solo that he was in Star Wars and beyond. I say this knowing that Lucas and Howard have a history together. But the Lucas Solo I grew up with and the Howard Solo could never be the same Solo. Having said that, I did like Solo because it was about Han Solo, one of my heroes growing up. It was a good movie, one heck of a story, and if I was not so old it would have given me a different view of him because I would not have grown up getting to know him so well already. And, Han Solo’s heart was not the only one sliced through when Ben murdered his father. I think we all died a little that day. RIP Han Solo.

Jack Smith As an added footnote, I did not like the “full front end” of the Millennium Falcon. The Falcon I grew up with had a big chunk missing and was perfect. Now, I know what the YT-1300 was supposed to look like in certain configurations but I also know what the Falcon was supposed to look like and it was out of place. That was my biggest disappointment of the movie. The Falcon is special because she symbolizes freedom of mobility, liberty of movement and she is the most awesome space hot rod (reference to American Graffiti) in the galaxy. Well, when the hyperdrive works that is. And here is a small private joke I chuckle about to myself whenever I think about it. Calrissian: I’ll take care of her. She she won’t get a scratch! (THUNK!!!) Calrissian: Oops, sorry. You need a new dish. Peace, young brother.

I grew up loving these films. When Luke died. It broke my heart but at least he went peacefully. When Han was killed. I was devastated.
@TheGodofSteel5 жыл бұрын
Luke "died" as soon as Disney recast his character into someone other than the Luke Skywalker that we all knew and loved. To be honest, I only felt anger and disappointment when Luke died. When Han died, however, I was devastated as well. I was so numbed by it that it put a damper on the rest of the movie for me and I walked out of the theater after the credits rolled feeling like I'd just experienced the death of an old friend whom I hadn't seen in years. It's kind of bitterly ironic that Harrison Ford never liked the character of Han Solo because, to me, he was arguably the most likable character from episodes 4-6.

I gotta say bro. I've only recently discovered your work, and I cannot stop recommending it to people. This one just keeps bringing me back, the music at 6:18 gets me every damn time... seriously well done

That part when he says goodbye chewie and then you hear chewie cry, makes me cry almost every time. The background music just makes it so much better, love it. Great job

Fantastic editing! I couldn't hold the tears back when I saw Chewie grieving. Absolutely perfect beautiful music for this. The last part with him saying good-bye to everyone..."Good bye, Chewie..." "Not all of it was bad...some of us was...good..." "May the Force be with you."

I cried. True friendship is a bond, far stronger than many people think. You were indeed home, we will miss you, you old pirates. Your home, the falcon, will forever be yours, no matter who flies it.

I'm not usually one for tributes, but this struck a chord. It truly pulls the emotional impact to the surface.

Oh man... This year I will hit 30 years... and I have to say you teared me up with it. A duo for the ages... and after seeing the last movie this got me even more emotional about those two. Thank you for remembering a soldier that he is not only cannon fodder but a human being ^^ And that those two characters might have shaped me into who I am now!
