Not much to complain about…except maybe the humidity. Looking forward to going back when I’m up ready to fly for 19 hours 😂

Remember to take advantage of the train system and travel out of the city center ! Most tourists are trapped in the Marina area and venture only to Chinatown (not a true reflective of Singaporean Chinese way of life btw!). Don't miss out on our Malay community area Geylang Serai! From there , head towards Joo Chiat and Katong area! Tons of heritage buildings and traditional eateries to interesting international cafes, and all these for residents, real living neighbourhood, not a tourist trap like Chinatown!

About the ATM thing at 9:33, you don't actually need to withdraw $50. The minimum amount that you are required to withdraw is $20, so it is actually possible to withdraw in a slightly more accepted denomination, which is $10. You can actually see the denominations of notes that the ATM dispenses on the bottom left corner of the ATM screen. Most ATMs in Singapore dispense $10, $50 and $100. If the particular denomination is not available, a horizontal slash is indicated on the denomination on the ATM screen. If you want to avoid withdrawing the $50 note, try withdrawing between $20 - $40 in a single transaction at the ATMs (if the $10 notes are available).

In Singapore, the Type M plug that you mentioned at 13:52 till 13:53 is only used in situations where you have high-energy consuming appliances like air-conditioners, ovens or clothes dryers. The Type M plug in Singapore can withstand current levels of up to 15 Amperes, and special modification of the home circuitry needs to be done by an experienced electrician. Type G plugs are more commonly found and used in Singapore homes, Type G plugs in Singapore can withstand current levels of up to 13 Amperes and are the default circuitry arrangement in Singapore.

Stumbled into your channel here thanks to the KZbin algo. Its always refreshing to see you "young folks" get out. I'm in my 60's, and my Single Black Mother got fed up with America and decided to move herself, and me (her only child) at age 9, from Los Angeles to Recife Brazil...in *1969.* Since then I have been to about 77 Countries, at least 500 cities, lived in 4 Countries for for more than a year each, and have residences in both Morocco and Malaysia. I say this because I fully _Expect_ you guys to more than double my Country count, and more importantly, plant a couple of permanent (Plan-A, B, or C) flags about the planet, well before you get to be my age. For what its worth; perhaps presentations about "Plan-B" and "Plan-C" offshore residence/property ownership may be an enlightening topic for your future videos? When you make it to Tangier, let me know. Good luck and nothing but the best!

@@ChewsToExplore interesting. How long ago did you visit Singapore? Was just there a few weeks ago and their drone laws have completely changed. The government is now using DJI AeroScope to track drone activity all around the city, lots of locals and tourists have been charged and some have been left with multiple legal charges. Have a look on KZbin 🥲
@theeglobalcitizen3 ай бұрын
@@ChewsToExplore that's insane, was just there a few weeks ago and it is almost impossible to fly a drone now. The local officials are now using DJI aeroscope to detect drones, check their owners and check flight paths. They are also dishing out hefty fines and a lot of locals have been hit with massive court hearings and charges. It's actually so bad that when I visited, I had intended to fly my drone, but didn't fly it at all because the laws are so strict. When did you visit if you don't mind me asking ?
