The Cheyenne class would be a generally unsuccessful class of cruiser which would enter brief service with starfleet in the 2360s before being retired for having a long list of issues, not the least of which was the high stresses put upon the ships hull at high speed which could cause the catastrophic loss of the vessel.

One of my favorite starship classes! I always thought personally that the windows needed to be smaller or they needed to make a galaxy class sized ship with this design. Thanks for another awesome video! 🍻

using a football field as a gauge it's relatively straightforward to imagine something 360 meters long but 100 meters tall is so hard to imagine. When you bring in the expanded canon, I love families of Starships. The shared aesthetic of the Project Galaxy ships looked great and it would have been amazing to have seen more of them on screen.

I always loved the Cheyenne class. I hated the Constellation, it looks bulky and awkward, but the Cheyenne takes the idea and make it look sleek. I wished we saw more of it, especially in the Dominion War.

Me too, I assume it had some flaws and that’s why we didn’t see any of the class after the battle of wolf 359

I always found it amusing how this ship is literally just two undersides of a Galaxy's saucer and neck slapped together (with a few extra details added on to round it out). I mean points for efficiency, gotta get those wolf 359 kitbashes out somehow. As for the design I think it works. It's a pretty appealing shape. Only thing I think would make it look better was if it had Galaxy style nacelles instead of those boxy ones.

I always liked these. (Apart from the kitbash using then-common highlighter pens for nacelles,; that could kinda break suspension of disbelief) Always liked the notion they could get places really fast by alternating pairs of nacelles to stay at high warp longer, but then they might have a recurring issue about not getting there with *much* capability for a lot of missions. (just from being small that is.)
