I am missing the days before all the effects. This high production is good work but it's just such a move away from "100% vocals" All the reverb, echo, delay etc to tie all together makes the track nice, but without - it wouldn't have the same impact. This is studio work for the new generation. I don't want to spoil anyone's enjoyment. I got into beatbox because it was real.

It might feel like that. Pay attention to the secondary quieter sounds he’s blending in there. Multiple sounds at once is what offsets from amateur beat boxers. People like improver are more pronounced for example
