It is not Vedic it is Buddhist festival. It is festival of Bihar. Bihar means where Buddhist live. In this festival Brahmin priest not allow. Only family member do Chat Puja.

​@@dharmendra629there is no specific Buddhist connection. I am from Bihar and as rightly said in the video Chhath Puja is being done from the time of Mahabharata in Bihar which included Jharkhand region as well before partition of state. In fact it's the biggest festival of the year in Bihar.
