Sir wht if there are single group or non group data. And what if catagory/ class r multiple in survey design. Does this 2*2 table help? Wht should be applied in non grouped data.

This value is taken from a table based on the value of Alfa and dF. So you have to refer to that table for this value

Df=(rows-1)*(cols-1)... Since there a 2 col and 2 row.. Df=(2-1)*(2-1)= 1.. And looking at the table where df=1 and a=0.05 its 3.841
