Thanks for going to MY Usual Bar--the Sax Music Pub! I've been going there since the original one opened up in the late 1990s along Moon Muang Rd and the newer version is just as much sanuk as the original! It was GREAT to see my drinking hole once again, Jon! 🙂

heading there on my own December 1.. not sure what to expect. I agree, Pattaya was an interesting place to visit, but I'm more for the chilled out places.. Hua Hin was another awesome spot (for me) but this time its Chiang Rai, Chiang Rai, Ayutthaya and then I'm not really sure.

It's good to see you out and about with a lighter feeling, especially at night. I like to see the Rode mic again. What kind of phone do you got? Android or Apple? Oh, and I saw something funny. You talked about the old style shops in the beginning. I saw the sign that said "snus snus", which reminded me of Futurama and death by snu snu. That's how I'm gonna remember that shop, hehehe! I am a huge fan of these personal out and about at night videos. More please!!!

Thanks for this video Jon. Right in my stamping ground. I often stay in the guest houses on or around MM soi. I have a one way ticket out of Australia late November. Don't know which way I will head once I reach Bangers. Could be Chiangers first, or to my girl in Cambodia. Either way, I will be back in MM Soi 1&2 either this year or early next year. Maybe another birthday bash in January. I was sorry to see that you and Jaco got flooded out as did a number of my Thai friends. Hope to C U at the C U bar/ Jeaps / Pims / Lost hut / Beer time soon. We use to read alot and get so many books and then bring them back to get 50% off for next one, very good..had many languages👍 So we are bringing some to sell, leave to that shop/swop. I love CM but night life is not vibrant as Bangkok and Phnom Penh. I love dance House,Funk ,Soul dance music and I do not see the clubs with world class Dj. There is lot of jazz music,rock music and reggae but is all like jam session. Then everyone has different taste. Bangkok and Phnom Penh the clubs are open all night with e Ellen guest DJs from around the world. Yes there is a hit of trance scene but not my cup of tea.

As you say. Everybody is different. I love the amount of live music in Chiang Mai. There is something for most tastes, dance music I don't know about. But it is not up my street. I am old I know😂 In fact I was going to suggest to Jon that he takes a look at some of the music options available. And make a few blogs on it. I know it is difficult with the music playing. But it may be worth an episode or two. And anyway, Jon does not seem to be much of a clubbing person either according to this blog.
