In today's video: let me take you around some "usual days" in Chiang Mai! ☺️ I joined two creative groups: a writing group and a drawing group! Both groups had mainly foreigners who were living full-time in the city... it was very interesting to exchange with them! 🥰 I discovered two wonderful cafés near my apartment... Chiang Mai is a café hopping dream!! 🤩 I walked around the east part of the city: the night bazaar, Wat Ket Karam temple, Ping river, Chansom Memorial Bridge... before ending the day by a long evening walk, all the way back home 🌙

about me: 30-yo, born in France 🇫🇷 raised by Portuguese immigrants parents 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧🇵🇹 I never had the chance to travel when I was younger so, as soon as I managed to save up some money, I took off 🛫 At 19yo, I moved to live and study for a year in Athens, Greece 🇬🇷 At 22, I moved for an internship in Miami, USA 🇺🇸 before getting another opportunity to work and study in Montreal, Canada 🇨🇦 At 24, I did my last master degree semester as an exchanged student in São Paulo, Brazil 🇧🇷 Fell in love with the country, got a job, and been based in Rio de Janeiro ever since. After some personal health issues, I realized life is too short not to explore the world more… I’ve always loved documenting my days (journaling, scrapbooking) and knowing the next months would be full of travels, I thought, why not vlog it? I’m sure future-me will be very happy to look back at these videos! Hope you do too ☺️

Hey everyone ☺ I hope you're having a wonderful start of the "school year", wherever you are in the world! 🌎 What's your favorite "start of school" feeling? 🤓 Mine (as you can easily imagine...) is looking for new stationery items, the smell of a new notebook, this feeling that "all is still possible" because you "still" have a few months before the end of the year... I am looking forward to these -BER months, I hope you are too 🥰

Hello! New subscriber here! I figured you met up with the drawing group via Facebook. Whats the name of the group? My dad is living in Chiang Mai and he's an urban artist and would love to get involved! I'll be there in January so maybe we can meet up!

Fantastic scenery! Those beautiful temples at every corner are an amazing sight! I wonder if other cities in Thailand have many temples like in Chiang Mai. You have a knack for finding cozy cafés and places with a great view of the sunsets. You are like the Little Prince who loves to watch sunsets 🌇 I used to look forward to the return to school specifically because of getting new stationery :D The crisp new pages of a notebook, the pristine new pencil pouch and the cute erasers! The excitement has not diminished despite the years and I still love new stationery, although I am no longer in school (but that doesn't stop me from buying cute stationery every autumn 😆 )🏮

Thank you, Jane!! ❤️😍 So, temples are everywhere in Thailand, but apparently Chiang Mai has so many of them that it's nicknamed the "temple city" ...I'll show more of them in the next videos!! ☺️ I am definitely in love with watching sunsets 🥺 I sometimes plan my whole day around it haha Aaaah your description of stationery made me want to buy more now!! 😂❤️

I love how there's so much greenery everywhere, plants, trees etc. It's so calming. Also all those cafes look so charming, and the co-working space so inviting. The search for new pens and notebooks never stopped even after years since schooldays, I just expanded it to new sketchbooks, paints and art related stuff 😅 I too love the last 4 months of the year, Autumn is my fav season by far after all!!🤩🍁🏮

I loved the greenery too!! ☺️🌿 I just traveled back to Europe and I am planning to spend the whole Autumn here (I am usually in tropical countries around that time) and I am kinda excited about the prospect of living Autumn for once!! ☺️ (my last European autumn was probably in... 2017?? Crazy haha) Thank you for watching until the end and commenting!! ❤️ 🙇🏻‍♀️

First of all, I just have to say that blue dress looks absolutely stunning on you! The color complements your skin tone perfectly. Now, onto the amazing content of your video... I loved following along on your cafe hopping adventure! The atmosphere of each cafe looked so cozy and inviting.🤗 The writing and drawing class looked like so much fun! I'm a big fan of exploring my creative side, and it's great to see you doing the same. Your artwork is beautiful, by the way! And then, of course, there's the night bazaar - wow! The colors, the lights, the energy... it all looks so captivating. I can almost smell the street food and hear the vendors calling out their wares. Finally, the riverside walk looked like the perfect way to unwind after a busy day. There's something so peaceful about being near water, don't you think? Thanks for sharing your wonderful day with us - I felt like I was right there with you, exploring and experiencing all the sights and sounds. 🫶🏾🤍🤍🤍

Chiang Mai at sunset time is always so magical. Favourite part of the day for me. There is a great rooftop spot called Makad in Chinatown for an excellent view. You were only two blocks from it. Worth checking out if you get the chance.

Hello Milo san, greetings from Tokyo after a long while❤ So you’re enjoying your travels in Asia😮 In Japan the school-year begins on 1 April🌸 As I’m a mathematician & physicist,I love various stationeries. I usually use pencils(or mechanical ones) with lead B when I read papers and books to jot memos down or calculate something in the margins. When I write draft of my math papers, I use my Pelican pen with blue-black ink; when physics papers, drafting pen (black),as easy to draw graphs and diagrams. Finally when I write fair copy of my papers, I type it by PC software “Latex”. When I was a college teacher, someone usually helped me type my papers out, but now after retired from the university teacher, I do it by myself! That’s very tiresome. I take 2~3days for only 30 some pages!! Anyway the typhoon 10(Shanshan) brought Japan so much rain💦 and floods, Tokyo was in a terrible sense a City of Water💧😅 Do continue and enjoy travelling in Asia, Bon Voyage🎉

Hi there ☺️❤️ Oooh, so interesting, I didn't know that April was the back to school month in Japan! So are the the long school holidays around february/march then? A stationery aficionado, I see!! ☺️ As for the typing, have you tried one of these "voice to text" programs? It's not perfect, but it might take less time to correct the few mistakes it will do (instead of typing it all!). Good luck with the typhoon!! I hope it's gone already! Thank you for passing by! 🌻❤️

@@storiesofmiloThe school holidays in Japan are not so long actually😢 summer:25 July〜31 August. winter:25 December〜5 January. spring:20 March〜31 March. A bit depends on the school. You're still an early riser,aren't you? Your mail is today's 1st one, thank you❤ Of course, I’m a BIG stationery-aficionado!! Yes,I've tried several times to type my papers by some voice to text programs,but it's quite difficult to transcript complex math equations,graphs and diagrams,which take most of the time to copy papers fairly. Thanks a lot for your kind advice, any way❤

oooh, I guess Australia, being in the Southern Hemisphere, it must start after the summer right?? 😂 would it be february/march then? Of course, I feel super comfy about this question, no worries! ☺️ I work in tech (not really original for someone working remotely, I know...) but at least I'm not a developer 😂 I work more on the business/strategy/operations side! ☺️

Sorry if you mentioned this before but how sure are your plans of becoming a digital nomad ?
@storiesofmilo
@storiesofmilo 5 ай бұрын
Hey there! ☺️ No worries, I never mentioned it before! So, at the end of this season in Asia, I realized I couldn't choose a place to settle ...and I also didn't want to choose! 😅 I am lucky that during my 20s, I got to work and study in many different countries around the world. For example, I am French, so I have a whole life in France (friends/family), but I also lived over 5 years in Brazil (so, I have a whole life there too!). During my travels in Asia, I have made lifelong friendships (mostly in South Korea and Taiwan) making me go back there at least once a year to visit my friends (I spent 3 months in Seoul last year just to be with my friends haha)... So now, I am stuck in this perpetual "travel triangle" between Europe, South America and Asia 😂 ...for the best and worst! ❤️ I feel like settling somewhere would make me lose this ability to simply hop around the world and have these "seasons" with friends and family. Maybe one day I'll be OK with that... but not for now! To answer your question, I guess I am a "full time digital nomad" now ...the only thing is that I travel often to the same places! ☺️
