I started building a collection of ChiaoGoo interchangable sets a couple of years ago. I still like to see videos like yours comparing the ChiaoGoo sets to other brands and so far the ChiaoGoo comes out as higher quality and better liked. I don't have the blue bag shorties yet, they are next on my list. I have not been disappointed at all in any way with my decision to go with ChiaoGoo.

Yes, I must admit the quality is great, all the connections are so smooth. However, KnitPro are cheaper and more accessible here, so I have more of them!

Hi Elizabeth 👋 thank you so very much for making this review. I hate magic loop and changing to double pointed needles. I was wondering what set should I buy for makings sleeves with the top down technique. This video was really helpful. I will give knit pro a try. Thanks again. Greetings from Italy.

Hi! I'm glad you found the video helpful. I haven't knit a sweater yet using these needles so I'm not sure which would be better. I think it depends on what needles you already have, (so you can mix cable lengths), price, and what is available, (the KnitPro Denim aren't that common). Both sets have their pluses 😊

I'm a crocheter who's doing research into knitting because I want to start. I've recently seen on videos people are using the mini shorty needles on short cables instead of double pointed needles to emulate 'flexi... Something' flips maybe. So instead of double pointed u have an extra set of needles in the same size tho but the technique looks fire! I think this applies to your comment. Look at me sticking my nose in knitter stuff lol. I'm gonna be a knitter too soon me thinks!

I do wish ChiaoGoo had a needle case that would hold the sizes not included in the sets - they have 1.5 and 1.75 mm needles open stock (and 7 and 7.5 mm now that they've launched the yellow Large set, but they'renot available everywhere yet), but there's no really neat way to store them with all the other needles.
@TheSheepsGarden2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it would be nice. And I think because they are so small it is important they are stored well.

An easy way to prevent Chiaogoo shorties from falling out of the pockets of the case is to put a piece of paper behind each pair of knitting needles in the pockets of the case. 🌼

I hadn't thought of doing something like that. Thanks for the tip!

When storing ChiaoGoo tiny connectors (or adapters) just put them on a big safety pin and they won’t get lost. I prefer ChiaoGoo company.

Yes! A safety pin is a great way to store them! And they are so nice to knit with!

Knitter's Pride cables fit, and I have some much shorter cables than you are showing.
@TheSheepsGarden Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the information, I think Knitters Pride and KnitPro are the same company, (their USA name and European name). However sometimes they release products at different times, Knitters Pride had the Mindful collection before it was released in KnitPro. And I would love to see cables smaller than these!! They must be so short! 😄

@@TheSheepsGarden I just ordered a set, and I think the cables are either 6" or 8"

Terrible background traffic noise, also music not really needed on intro…..sorry 😩 very informative thank you

Thanks for the advice. I have a microphone now for recording but I agree the traffic outside my store is very annoying. Sometimes I close my door whiles making a video, but customers think I'm closed.
