No matter what you're trying to accomplish, a wide net is definitely better than tunnel vision. So if it takes 6 or 600 candidates, get the right guy.

Why do people act like the Bear's job is not a great job. It is we had no coaching. That's the most important thing in the NFL

Jurko at ESPN brought up the trading JJ talk on the Bears pod with Pat and on his own radio segment, that's why it's being brought up more & more.

I think the Bears are interviewing a lot of candidates for two reasons: 1. Doing coaches like Kafkah, Weaver, Shaw, and the OC from Arizona a favor by getting their names into HC circles for next year’s cycle. 2 Really think Poles wants the McCaskeys to hear how football people/coaches view the Bears organization to see how dysfunctional and far behind the Bears organization is from an operational standpoint. Hopefully George hears the info and allow the right people to make the necessary changes……I don’t know…..maybe just wishful thinking on my part

The main reason why I'm not certain that the Bears will get the coaching hire right is because of George McCaskey because for better or for worse, having him there makes me think that he wants to have someone that will be a yes man.

Why isn't one bringing up Kellen Moore as a head coach candidate?

No harm taken. But I just think Johnson has loss soooo much here that his motivation isn't there as much as it once was. I forgot we got a lot of Cap space. That kinda changes things.

We need a proven NFL GM. The new bears fans are enamored with CW and his toenail painting drama queen diva fantasy football stats. New bears fans don't care about winning or being competitive.

People are sooo waaay off with "who" Chicago should hire, it’s heartbreaking to listen to the comments. I'm a Bears fan but my fellow fans are delusional. First, there are a few coaches that are good enough to hire before trading tor a coach. Please stop it. The NFC North is a a very tough division for the Chicago Bears. With Lefluer, Hampton and O'Connell they need a HC that's has a history of winning. Not a 1st time HC like a Ben Johnson who is winning with a loaded roster and really good HC. Who hasn't even been to the Superbowl! If the Lions do win the Superbowl then we can talk about him. This new HC when he comes to Chicago YOU KNOW he is bringing superior coaching. Pete Carroll is my #1 HC for the Chicago Bears. He knows how a team should be ran. He'd be the smartest person the Chicago Bears have had in their organization… EVER. His connections and relationships with the NFL personnel and NCAA personnel is huge. What he could teach the Chicago Bears organization is super valuable. They need someone like him. 2x AP College National Champion. A Superbowl Champion. 181-131 record with 15 out of 19 winning seasons. Helped develop a 3rd round, QB Russell Wilson. If you think he's too old then you're young and dumb because older folks are pretty smart. In his recent interview with Chicago he had a real plan for the team and for his exit. Check out the details on his interview. I like Doug Peterson and Kliff Kingsbury. I also like Brian Flores and Jon Gruden but I know they won’t hire them. Then a flex coach…if Notre Dame wins the National Championship “Marcus Freeman.”He's turned that team around. It's like they're only their because of him. He's an amazing coach and should get an interview IF they win it all!

THANK YOU. FINALLY A BEARS FAN WHO IS SEEING THINGS THE SAME WAY I AM. NOT THAT I NEED TO BE RIGHT. IT JUST SEEMS TO BE COMMON SENSE TO ME. HE HAD TO DEVELOP THAT SEATTLE TEAM. HERE, HE ALREADY HAS THOSE PIECES IN PLACE BY A ROSTER STAND POINT
