A first look at my Elan Enterprise 128 with the "SD Adapter Premium" disk emulator!
Many thanks to "Szörg" for the SD-Card Disk emulator, and the nifty Video converter!

I've got one of these in perfect nick. Wish I still had the cassette tapes of the programs I wrote at the time.

Cool :) Yes, CPC "emulator" is a modified CPC firmware :D , and works only those games which are using only firmware calls (about 10% of games) Speccy 48K "emulator" runs on EP128, Speccy 128K "emulator" runs on an EP with memory expansion, and these convert the speccy programs on the fly after loading about 50-60% of speccy programs runs on it Normally Symbos works without mouse with alt+internal joystick but there is a version where alt+int joy does not work, I do not know which version is on SD card There are so much Speccy conversion, because we did not hear about CPC in Hungary before the end of nineties, and all home made ports are Speccy ports Color 16 CPC games can be converted also to EP quite easily, the graphics has to be converted, because the colours will be different place on EP palette, and it can happen 14-15 colours will be used instead of 16 CPC colours, because of BIAS limit, over 90% i could find a palette without colour loss.

The joystick makes quite a point. A whole generation just detest the Nintendo joypad from the NES taking over as everyone else used the right hand to control the stick and left for fire. Nintendo reversed all that. People did complain at the time about the pad and having to add a jump button because the pad was so hopeless with diagonal movement. Nintendo won of course but so many games from the 8bit era need a joystick rather than a pad to play well.

With one of the f keys, you can mute the inetrnal speaker. F7 maybe, if I recall correctly. If it is a secondary function, try Ctrl+F7 or Shift+F7.

DataMigrator depends on condition I suppose but seen them for £400-£600. Silly money and just not worth it but they are a lovely computer.

Thats great!. It was good to see the Elan Enterprise. In the 1980s I bought Personal Computer Weekly (and still have dozens of those issues) which always had the latest and greatest news of the day and I remember reading about the Elan in an issue. Many of the British computers like Elan, Oric Atmos, Jupiter Ace , Acorn Electron etc never made significant impact here in Australia . Of course I had the C64 for many years and kept it until now. I doubt ill ever see an Elan in the flesh : )

Couldn't find the size of screen memory for this machine but the CPC used a 4mhz Z80 too and had about 16kb screen RAM (you can remove the borders just like on the VIC-20 but then you need larger screen RAM). Interesting machine but 1985 launch is too late, the two top systems had killer apps in 1983 in the UK already let alone by 1985. Be interested to see if there are any full screen 50fps arcade games on it.

keith s Yeah the second game was only ported to the Amstrad GX4000 and not to the normal CPC range and only 1 copy is known to exist anyway.

I actually don't mind you after watching a video. I was a little put off by the website because of the weab stuff and the elitist sounding "for monsters". This just outputs normal PAL? You make note of your JP TV. So you don't even have one PAL TV, or at least a 50hz accepting one? Not even a modern HDTV that would accept all signals? You live in Japan? Does it have a display list that changes registers or does the attribute mode let you have 1 line height attributes like an oric? Your game looks pretty good if slow which is to be expected with graphics like that. The machine has no hardware scrolling right? That demo has wow factor. 31:13 that's the gibberish man right? There is also a 90s cover of the riddle with a video that reminds me of that.
