@@daskraut Queen… do not forget Queen. John Deacon heard Nile Rodgers & Bernie Edwards playing the bass line in the studios… for the song Good Times for their 1979 album Risquè. Well, in 1980 Queen came out with Another One Bites the Dust. The rest, as they say, is sodden history ! For anyone who still makes claims to the contrary, please note that Chic’s “Good Times” came out a full year BEFORE Queen’s “Another One Bites The Dust,” and, because of that chronology, Chic could not have possibly copied Queen’s bass line for their own. In fact, it was the other way around.

My favorite song in college. My entire family made me the golden child. Too much to live up to. As a college freshman, first generation. I'm honored to have had my siblings and nephews and nieces come to Columbia University to visit my dorm. They had an idea of my travails but did not realize my 4 year ivy league experience. I was prepared. They were not. Life altering. I'm 62. Still seen as the person they all aspire to. I'm not. When you're the first, it's a heavy burden. I shoulder it. Just wanted to travel and live a simple life. Lol. I found a love and a family. Thank goodness. My education made me have negative thought patterns regarding elitist ideology, however, classical music is my mainstay. Jazz as well Mpl

Your sure right about your comments. Those where the good times. Takes me back to a place in my life. Just a little glimpse of what was then my life. Friends, family, music, dance, love... Oh yes love. Don't even remember her name that night. But I'll never forget her. The most beautiful smile. Im not writing a book,,, just reminded of two young people dancing a dance there was nothing to be said.... Just a dance. But that moment was mine. She was young and beautiful and her dress and her eyes where the deepest Grey and she smelled like roses and she had black hair with white waves and then I noticed her shoes. Sparking high heels and she now seems so young too me. She was just a girl. And I remember now. I was just a boy. I forgot about that boy. I have not seen him in so long. Hit remember that girl. I felt so lucky to have been in her life if only for one dance. I'll always remember her beautiful face. She just made me remember that boy. I had almost lost him. I would like to thank her one more tike for giving me a moment in time that seemed to be nothing but every thing all at once. My time my turn my dance... Her eyes where the most beautiful eyes. Could she be any more alive... Yes I think so. I had a moment. She is out there somewhere. Oh I remember her name now... Her name was... Terry Lynn. My first love. I did not know it then. But I just realised she was my first love. And it was the most wonderful first love. The length of a song at a school dance for 3 minutes... Yes the most beautiful eyes. What a gift I just got back to that place that dance that moment now i remember that boy. That girl. Those eyes. I'm a 59 year old man who just got to go back to see in my minds eye me and her dancing in our school cafeteria for not the last dance but for that first dance. What a gift. Yes I was that boy. I had had such work and strife and hard rows to hoe to be the man I am. I forgot I was once young and had danced with a beautiful young lady. Not just any young lady... The one with the most beautiful dark Grey eyes. Terry Lynn. Thank you for the dance. I forgot that I was young. Now I weep that I'm old and alone. But she reminded me that I was a tall young happy boy that had freinds and interest and places I needed to be on time or I would be late... Omg I was surrounded by people who cared about me and I use to cut up and laugh a lot and I was going to see the world and how big the world seemed when I was a boy if 12. Wow... Yep the most beautiful shiny Grey eyes. I realise now the gift of youth. I just got a big old dose of it. She was just a girl and I was just a boy... It was our dance. God is good.
