You really can see the size of downtown Chicago and how far it stretches on the lake. You could put la, dallas, and Houston downtowns together and Chicago's downtown will still be bigger

Alpha Tango But in Chicago everything is in downtown, unlike Houston we have multiple downtowns spread out, could you imagine downtown, the Galleria, the medical center, Westchase, Greenway, Memorial city together, maybe height wise it wouldn't rival Chicago but size wise it definitely would!

Joe Martin big difference between Houston and Chicago is that once you’re outside of Chicago’s downtown it’s still dense neighborhoods for 7-8 miles in every direction, more than that north and south. Houston’s are islands of buildings and then practically nothing across the street from them

@@jm6691 Chicago on the other hand has some suburbs in the inner ring like oak park or Elmwood park /forest park that's denser than even inside Houston city limits. If Chicago were able "unfold over the lake" itd be the similar density but that's just now how were built

The coolest parts of Chicago minus the beautiful beaches are actually the local stuff going on in the outer neighborhoods rather than the loop. I will admit though, the loop is incredibly beautiful in it's own right. World class architecture.

The river and bridges on the first vid were AWESOME too, by the way. ...If I was flipping channels on TV and I saw this vid I would watch it for sure. Very mesmerizing and relaxing...and educational.
