You don’t reach in the first round. If they have a guy like Campbell graded really close to a guy like Donovan Jackson, you grab the best player in round 1 and hold off on drafting a guard until 39&41. Reaching high in the draft is how you stunt your growth

Only been talking about building the O- line for 4 freaking years and possibly longer than that ! There are always D-linemen available but O-line men are harder to draft especially for the kind of offense your team plays . O-linemen are a different breed and are the cornerstone of every team !

James Pearce / Walter Nolan / Tyler Booker / Mason Graham , all also options at 10; because there is a lot of inside OL talent (where the bears need the help) in round 2 they have flexibility to go D-Line with 10 ; there are a lot mixed opinions on Banks ad Campell with a lot of scouts thinking they are not too different from the guys that will be available in the second.

Maybe in the third you take that guy outta Georgia and grab a later round running back? I think having a third round center develop for one year behind Shelton should be a good play he’s not the best but does his job and Braxton Jones for one more year could be serviceable. Then we could draft our Left Tackle next year and have a tag and trade situation on Jones while you continue to develop Amegadjie

Of the two pipedreams, I could see Graham MAYBE slipping to 10. Teams get stupid over receivers and QBs which usually pushes the less sexy picks lower. We all know bears need good o-line but you can’t just pick on needs alone. That has never worked well for top draft picks. Have to consider value of the pick and get the best player. If Jeanty is there at 10 and top lineman are gone, you have to get him. If the bears don’t I can see it being something fans will be talking about for the next 20 years. He has that much potential. Matt ebeflus wasn’t the problem. He was a great defensive cordnator. He knew how to lead a locker room and he was pretty decent with time management for like every game besides the detriot one. He should have been our DC this year. He would have gotten a chance from the head coach to be the one who developed Caleb into a 4k yard passer and made sweat and dexter all pros. Matt Eberflus, even had all the drip. He had a new hairstyle. He had a sick mustache. He was rebuilding the Colts into a super team in win the Bears signed him. He just didn’t know what they were doing at first. And once Eberflus was doing amazing with the Defense, they just gave up on him. The Bears would probably be sitting at 11 wins this year. If they just kept him for one more year The organization failed eberflus. SMH 🤦‍♀️

@@tomee481 the best center in the draft has a 3rd rd grade on him. Lol And theres plenty of guards in the draft dont need to over draft the postion if theres no real separation. Banks n campbell are literally just as good as the LT from OSU. Theres no HOF OL in this draft Poles punted on IOL for 3 drafts now And chose to pass on a.potrntial all pro in carter for a OT that has looked more like a developmental piece than a sure fire player. Stunts n bull rushes a big problem for him
