He might and he might also be injured 10 out of 17 games. It’s risky especially that it’s not a single injury - he is constantly out with something new. No question he’s a top guard when healthy but that’s a big “IF”

@@Pablo-sk3os i feel yaa. I dont care if they lose tev or i dont mind signing tev to a short deal, especially if we draft a young guard behind him and also add other pieces. I'm fine with keeping Braxton as a back up OT, kiran as a back up OG, Wright as a starting lineman and just finding 7 other new guys. I doubt poles is this aggressive but our line talent is awful and he really should be that aggressive. But i'm sure he'll give Bates a chance to start and murray a chance to be a back up and resign prior. lol We really should sign skipper as a back up OT. Stanley as our LT. Zietler as our Guard. Sign Cam robinson to play Guard. Trey smith wont be available. Then draft Donovan Jackson and Zabel in Round 2. Starters: Stanley, Zietler, Zabel, Robinson, Wright Back up: Braxton, Jackson, ?, Kiran, Skipper

Seems like the Bears are going to part with Teven Jenkins. This is eerily similar to getting rid of 1st rounder Marc Colombo out of BC because they thought he was underperforming. Colombo went on to have an outstanding career with the Cowboy's and Dolphins. I don't know if they've ever had a better guard since getting rid of him.

Kevin Zeitler should be one of the G signings assuming he wants to play another year. Need to sign at least 2 higher-end iOL and draft a 3rd in round 1 or 2. Then build depth, so maybe sign 3, draft 2. Build the trenches like the other positions don’t exist.

I’d love Dalman and a guard. I doubt that most of these free agents will make it to free agency. I think that most of them will be signed. I’d be happy with one or two good players. I don’t think that they’ll fix this mess in a single year unless they get extremely lucky.

People critics Braxton Jones, but he is really not a bad player. His performance metrics are actually pretty good. You can win with a guy like that if you solidly the middle of the line.

hey what happened to Briggs, I haven't seen him here for a while. Last video show about a month ago. Is he on vacation until next season or is he not coming on here during all this Ben Johnson hype being pushed? Is it because he is more honest and would challenge the takes? When are you going to tell the fanbase that we just did the same thing we've done for the past 3 coaches we hired? Dennis Allen had a 26-53 record as a HC, he is at the same stage in his career as Eberflus. Allen has a superbowl ring, as an assistant coach....The saints fans probably hate him in the same way that many fans hated Eberflus. We literally have Eberflus on our team again and not 1 single media outlet is talking about it. Is it because when the bears lose you have more to talk about? How can we be expected to buy into the idea that Ben Johnson is Jesus in the flesh and turned Jared Goff into Jesus as well. Wasn't that the pitch used on us with Shane Waldron amongst all other media outlets creating hype with Caleb? We are putting all of our cards on a guy who had a good single season record, but ultimately didn't finish (not his fault, but still, just "feeling" by media people). Can you do us all a favor and mark the e-mail account that tells you guys who to hype up each day with all the talking points , as spam? I mean wtf is this just an employment agency and not a football team that wants to win? We are expected to buy that Ben Johnson will make all the correct moves because he's a "genius" (same pitch as last 3 times in different ways), and the only evidence being pitched to make us believe that is a good regular season record. Not all of your viewers are that stupid. cmon bros lets be critical and honest, then you will have a mutual respect with viewers who want to hear different angles. You don't even have to be right. The short term revenue you're seeking from the hype you are building will vanish when you practice journalism in this way. You will have regular viewers who care about your opinion when you challenge the angles. This is why I care about Briggs' opinion.

When people talk about our "Horrible oline" they dont realize that they are talking about Kiran and Borom who ruined 5 games by themselves. they arent good enough to play back up OT in the NFL. We had back ups like borom, kiran, shelton and pryor play way too much. Brax, tev, Bates, Davis and Wright would have done 100X better if they had been healthy.

AGREED. Braxton being "good enough" is not good enough. You need to be ELITE, this is top 3 most difficult positions to play in the league IMO. We should get Kelvin Banks Jr at #10. He is the only relevant tackle in this draft. Everyone else isn't ready imo. But this show will probably push for the sexy picks at #10 cause that's what media does. They'll want Jeanty or an Edge. Jeanty can't do shit without an offensive line, all of his highlights show massive lanes to run through. Braxton is too overwhelmed to create lanes. They will want our 5th round RT, to be replaced with a 3rd round tackle from yale when his contract is over. A school not particularly great at producing good football players. To be fair, he's not horrible, good anchor. I think they should make him a backup, I'm sure he could be a backup guard too. Then it's problem solved. Use him as trade capital later on. The recipe for getting into the SB the two times we did was like this: Mid QB, Mid WR's, Good run game, Solid O line, Solid D Line/Defense overall. O line made the QB/WR's better, and run game too of course. But it's never a talking point that I hear.

Dalman is the guy we NEED. Trey Smith is not this elite, top-10 guard. Jenkins has ranked higher than Smith consistently. Smith has a history of blood clots that he's been told he'll need to retire if they return, so he's got to be a medical worry and more so than Jenkins, in fact.
