This is much more what I had in mind Kevin Zeitler would be huge in the room because he already knows the offense, and Najee Harris runs with power, which is just what our offense needs. I also like adding some vets to the areas where we're going to be drafting rookies.

Matt Pryor is why Our Kicker isn't getting every kicked blocked tho. They put his 350 and length on the left side where you have to block 3 people and he's done great because his size. You gotta stab with each hand 2 people and take a shot from a 3rd in the chest. Definitely wanna keep him, plus he can start 4 spots. Get him in the weight room with a cheap 2yr deal

Pick #16: Ashton Jeanty RB (got lucky that he was still there) Pick #41: Tyleik Williams DT Pick #42: Wyatt Milum OG Pick #47: Aireontae Ersery OT Pick #95: Jared Wilson OC Pick #107: Jared Ivey EDGE

I like most of this a lot I can't get behind Jeanty at all. He's completely over hyped and this is a deep RB room. Any RB before the 3rd round is a no go for me
@TheRealFlash2314 күн бұрын
@@Beardownsports Well, I just think Jeanty's overall numbers and grades and ability to break tackles is definitely what the Bears need in the running game. Not some average RB behind an average OL. You can get OL, DL, and WR help in free agency, but don't expect to land an Aaron Jones level RB in FA. Without a high level RB play maker, the Bears will still lack in progress on offense.
@Beardownsports14 күн бұрын
@@TheRealFlash23 Jeanty is almost identical to Rasaad Penny a decade ago. The perfect comp. A great RB but completely over-hyped in the MWC. If you put Jeanty on Alabama or Georgia he wouldn't have done what he did. He should be a fine NFL RB but he's no more special to me than Omarian Hampton or Cam Skattebo

I really like Jamaree Caldwell in the 6th or 7th. He's going to test fairly well and could develop into a really useful NT. I also really like guard Miles Frazier in the mid rounds. He's totally overlooked because LSU wasn't great and the tackles get the hype there, but he's a potential starter down the road - heck he might even be the 2nd best guard on the Bears today. Also, if you haven't looked into him, look into PSUs Kaytron Allen. He's going to end up a top-125 back - he's basically Cam Skattebo with NFL athleticism - and is exactly what the Bears need to pair with Swift.

Here are my offseason priorities in order: 1. 2 Top Tier Guards 2. One each of DL/EDGE 3. A power RB (High End) 4. Quality rotation players for both trenches, 2 on each side. 5. A safety of the future (which I am still okay to wait for next year). That being said, I would move just about anything around to go RB in the 3rd Round, even if that means, we have 2 D-linemen and 1 O-lineman selected by then. Hopefully FA would have helped us out by then.

I dont think Bears fans realize just how depleted the Bears roster is 2025. This team is far from finished in its rebuild phase! So many holes, and many players in starter spots that should be backups/rotational.
@Beardownsports11 күн бұрын
As Bears fans we have a tendency to overhype our own players. It's not our fault though, we're starving for guys to breakout and be the next guy. We have to put them in that position with good coaching and actual quality depth for once. I'm hopeful we're finally almost there.

Even if Banks and/or Campbell aren’t elite tackles but become elite Guards, they both are really good at run blocking and pass protecting. Can you see a path with Poles taking one of them, and addressing the DLine in the second round? I was hoping for Princely, Jackson and Sawyer falling to the second round but that doesn’t look to be the case as of late. As for the actual Guards in this draft that could drop(be there in the 2nd round) Donavan Jackson, Booker, Wyatt Milum, Tate Ratledge, Jonah Savanaiinaea. I’m seeing Milum, and Booker being picked up in the 1st more and more. Jackson’s tape when he was playing Guard is actually really impressive. In your humble opinion, if Poles drafts Campbell/ Banks at 10… do you think he doubles down at G in the second or roll the dice and hope Tate Ratledge falls to them in the 3rd? I do see him also triple dipping and drafting Jared Wilson or Jake Majors if they get the comp 3rd pick. Alfred Collins and/or Ryan Mills are great draft picks in the 5th/6th with possibly Thor Griffin as a safety net if they miss on either or. As history shows, GM’s on the hot seat spend $ on edges if free agency more often than not. This year actually has edges that could be had, not to mention the possibility of trading for an elite edge. This isn’t exactly what I want, I can just see it playing out this way. I wouldn’t be mad, spending high 1st round draft picks to protect your franchise QB. What’s your take?
@Beardownsports15 күн бұрын
Yeah, it's a very Poles thing to do, to draft Campbell or Banks in the first round when we already have a LT and there's really good options at Guard in the 2nd round... And the Best edges will be gone by then. A very Poles thing to do

Wilson isn't getting drafted? He's in the senior bowl and declared. I do my own big board and rankings. I don't rely on databases that are using info from last year, but we'll see as we get closer to the combine (BTW, PFF is always the least accurate for draft rankings this time of year. They'll be more accurate as we get closer to April 25th)
@terrymcgovern369515 күн бұрын
It's not unusual to have different rankings, especially this year. Look at the wild differences between Dane Brugler, Trevor Sikkema, his co-host Connor Rogers, Field Yates, etc. Brugler has Derrick Harmon 14, PFF has him 79 or something. PFF's board is just one guy (Trevor), and he has only rewatched two positions (QB and RB). I know he wasn't rewatched Edge or OT yet because he said so recently. When he does, maybe Umanmielen will move up 5-10 spots. And look at Membou's PFF numbers, when Trevor rewatches him he's going to be a top-60 player on the big board, if not top 40. I have Ransom even further below Adam, and I have Andrew Mukuba just outside the top 50 which is higher than anywhere else I've seen him. Nick Emmanwori is ranked as high as 15 by some people and as low as 50 by others. On top of that, so much is going to change after the all-star games and athletic testing. There are FCS guys who are going to fly up the board in the next month - like David Walker out of Central Arkansas, who will be a top-100 player after the Senior Bowl but is ranked like 208 on Mockdraftconsensus. No draft ever has a real consensus, but this is by far the weirdest draft I've ever seen when it comes to rankings.

This was in November/December of last year. At that time he was being "mocked" in the 4th-5th round and literally dozens of people told me I was an idiot because he's a "4th-5th rounder" according to their mock draft sites. The Arizona Cardinals selected him 27th overall in the 1st round. Princely Umanmielen is the 3rd best Edge in this class and arguably the 2nd best, only behind Abdul Carter. He will be a 1st rounder, it's just where a team with need at Edge takes him in order. I will not be upset one bit if the Bears take him at #10 overall. 🐻⬇️

Let Tevon & Sanborn (was bullied this year) walk, cut Byard & trade Edmunds (softest LB I've seen in decades) I like the LB from UNLV combined with picking up Greenlaw & Hufuaga on prove it deals. This team needs VIOLENCE, aggressive, relentless, fast players that play angry. I'd use the comp pick & a pick you get for Edmunds to try and move up to get Abdul Carter or Mason. If not take Jalon Walker, much better prospect then Princely. Can beat you from both edges or anywhere on the field, an absolute game wrecking beast. You have Greenlaw, Edwards & Hufonga in the middle with Walker, Sweat, Sweat & Booker attaching you from the Edges, GOOD LUCK! Enough finesse football get some Dogs in here.
