You always find that Lambeau isn't as loud as it seems. The stadium, especially back before the south end zone was enclosed, is pretty open and it dissipates a lot of noise.

Boys, I'm a 55 yr old Packers fan, I know your pain. In the 70's and 80's were dominated by the young Sweetness years and the Ditka years including a 63-3 loss in there. The only wins were the "Marcol Miracle" and the "replay game". This is a great rivalry and you guys deserve a better run team.

I had a college student this year that grew up in Boston as a Patriots fan and has never known a life without Tom Brady. That was somehow the first time that it really dawned on me just how spoiled we've been as Packer fans. Of course I knew that we've been lucky, but it's really pretty absurd if you live to know the other side of it. I'm just old enough to have grown up when the Packers sucked, so I remember the flickers of hope in the Don "Majik" Majkowskis of the world. His middle name was Vincent for crying out loud, clearly he was the savior! Small rises before the inevitable fall. Precise timescales are difficult to predict, but the mighty Bears will rise again.

As a life long Packer fan I do feel for you 😂. I went through hell as a kid when for the only time you owned us, and rubbed our nose in it leading up to your incredible 85/86 Super Bowl run. I agree with your assessment - the Bears had an incredibly conservative and lackluster game plan. I’d like to believe our defense really stepped it up but I’m dubious. My longest most painful car ride back to Cheeseland was watching the 1998 Super Bowl (Packers/Favre vs Broncos/Elway) in Chicago with a bunch of buddies. It never crossed my mind that the Packers were going to lose that game. Until it happened. Ha ha ha.

I attended my first Bears game at age 10 in 1954. Today, represented my "I've had enough mediocrity and piss poor coaching" - especially recently. I'm now a Justin Fields fan. If he stays I stay, if he goes then I'll root for him. Living in San Francisco area for my prime years I was always jealous of how a great football organization operates. Chicago is a statistical anomaly - just bad sports all around.

The Packers were the Bears for 25 years. Bad team, no direction Luckily, there was no owner and Bob Harlan as President knew a whole change was needed, eventually leading to hiring and turning all of football operations over to Ron Wolf. Ron Wolf saw what winning looked like and how to do it in Oakland/LA. "You dont have a quarterback, you dont have a chance" were some of his first words after being hired. Yes, Mike holmgren and Reggie white were hot commodities at their respective positions and both wound up in Green bay. But thats the domino effect when you have a QB (White came to GB because of what he saw in Favre) and GM that is respected. The Bears need just such a massive change in mentality and direction. Until CHI get someone in there that has complete autonomy over every and all football decision who knows how to win this wont change. How can you miss so poorly on every QB youve tried for 60 years? Thats almost impossible. But, its in the DNA. And a major DNA change is needed or it will continue to be like this forever.
