Nah after their bye or the second half of the season will tell us a lot about the Bears.. if the beginning of their season is easier than the end how would that be indicative of their capabilities?? And It’s not how you start it’s how you finish.. that goes for everything in life not just football but it’s even more important in football as it’s such a debilitating and brutal sport.. a team can look great in the beginning of the season when it’s warm and everyone is healthy and then completely fall apart towards the winter when they’re tired, beat up, it’s cold and injuries happen..

The only role I see for him is a gimmick role in the same way they used Hester back in the day, except he’s nowhere near as good.

@@KevonDaDon so fellas... the idea that's been floated to change before the season starts is to add an additional 5 yards (putting a touchback to the 35, not 30). the reason being is that the average return currently in the preseason has been the 39 yard line. so while teams are testing this out and kicking off to try things and do it for the league and TV, if the average spot is the 39 yard line, then once the season starts (and with no more changes to the rule), teams would 100% kick every ball into the endzone and have the other team start at the 30. so you would in effect do away with the kickoff if the options are come out to the 39 (or even better). moving a touchback to the 35 might actually make a few more teams actually kickoff in bounds.

Bears are winning the division this year, and going deep into the playoffs. Defense looks deadly, and there is a ton of talent on offense.

You see a lot of confidence in their 2nd and 3rd stringers - they seem very well adjusted with a very competitive #2 and #3 QB Yeah I reckon they'll go all the way

That pick at the goal line.... He had #42 in the flat. I guess that's how KC keeps their scout-team QB for another year on the PS. KC will be scouring the waiver wire and late free agency for O-Line depth. With Morris and Thuney healthy - and nobody knows what's up with Morris's knee - I think they have 6 who are pretty good. The drop-off after that is pretty steep, I'm afraid. I had pretty high hopes for that O-Line coming into the season, expecting Morris to take the next step, and Suamataia to quickly play his way to 6th man. But Suamataia won the starting LT spot, and Morris has been struggling. Lucas Niang, the 3rd-rounder they drafted in 2020, looks like his feet are encased in cement. I think their DB situation is better than they're letting on.
