It’s very rare when Mr. Lamm doesn’t show, hope all’s well.

Wow no Robert Lamm now? This is a cover band with the rotating players

My thought exactly. The original trumpet and trombonist (as fabulous as they are) are the only ones left up there and just not enough to truly call it a Chicago concert. This is truly sad.

I saw them live in Savannah a couple years ago, they were great. But my favorite performance will be the 1970 Tanglewood concert, here in KZbin

I'm so glad that recording of the Tanglewood concert exists. The whole band is in top form, and you see why Jimi Hendrix spoke so highly of Terry Kath's guitar playing. His solo on 25 or 6 to 4 is mind-blowing.

Jimmy Pankow and Lee Loughnane need to do a guest appearance with Toto on their current tour. “Dying On My Feet” is on Toto’s current set list for which Jimmy Pankow did the horn arrangements. They also appeared on the original “Rosanna”. It would be a KZbin hit.

Yes, one of the great groups from the late 60's and beyond. This video? Not so much now. The only remaining original members are the horn line. (I believe Lee Loughnane owns the name and the group Chicago.) We are ALL old. It is so sad to me to watch this video. Three old horn players trying to keep it going from over 55 years ago when they started. The music of Chicago is great, it will last forever! These guys need to retire and let their music go on forever!

Not even all three original horn players. Walt Parazaider retired some time ago due to illness. I'm a long time fan of Chicago, but this is not Chicago. Sorry, Lee and James, time to do something new.

When they lost the second wave of Chicago they lost me - Bill, Keith, Tris, and Jason. Their fairly new Cetera style Lead singer doesn’t even play an instrument!

It's a damn shame. Let's face it, the band is no longer Chicago as us "oldsters" knew it. I have attended 24 concerts starting with LIttle Rock, AR, back in 1969. Last one was two years ago in Springfield, MO. That was my band. Grew up with them, was and still am in love with the music and have associated so many of their songs with different stages of my life. The big downturn in my opinion stared when they booted Bill Champlin out. Pankow and Lamm's egos couldn't handle Bill's contributions and song writing talents. He got them back on the charts and for a thanks, he got the big "F U" from the band. Then Walter had to step down due to health issues, and the revolving door slowly started spinning faster and faster. Now, it's a cover band. I just can't do it any more. It hurts. But what a legacy!

Even though Jason and Bill were not original members, I got used to seeing them, and they both had hit singles. Now, with no Robert, not one song is by an original singer, and Robert only had a few hits, so now, most of the songs are covers. I will choose a concert by Bill and his band any day over these guys. In the CNN documentary, Jimmy should not have criticized Bill for saying we went to see Bill (and Jason). I was in band in high school, but Lee and Jimmy were mediocre musicians (and Walt) that could be easily replaced by studio muscians, but Peter, and later Bill and Jason, were Chicago.

Considering only two original members this doesn't sound too bad. I thought the drums were too hot in the mix. The last video I saw of Three Dog Night was pitiful. Bands should be like sports teams. Guys need to know when to hang it up before it gets embarrassing.
