one of my favorite from them, Robert Lamm is a legend. So was Terry Kath (Make me Smile). Look up the 1970 Chicago at Tanglewood. Superb

I strongly disagree. This is NOT anything even approaching the sound of the original lineup. If anyone wishes to hear the original band, search YT for Tanglewood.

I have been a Chicago fan since the early 70s ( still have the first LPs), and while I love their music and that they have been having fun and giving us great music, I can’t help think of the original band with Danny, Peter and Terry, ( who is gone) might have sounded at this point in time. So glad James, Lee, Walter and Robert kept the group going...

Lamb has always had a smooth great voice. 👍
@richd30443 жыл бұрын
To me, I think his voice fit the overall genre of Chicago the best. Kath and Cetera were great in their own right too, and the diversity in lead vocals was brilliant. At least up until the Cetera ballad era.

And can we also hear it for the horn players Lee Loughnane - trumpet, James Pankow - trombone, and Walter Parazaider - sax (and sometimes flute). All three originals from the beginning! Just looking - Wikipedia says - Parazaider continued to tour extensively with the band until his retirement from touring in 2017 due to a heart condition. 2019 - he’s 74. Time catches up to all of us.
