@@dparis2172 IT is a ceiling vrs floor issue. Demindov is perhaps higher ceiling lower floor. Lev is a much higher floor and could be close to the same ceiling. Right handed D is something every team is in need of, and (baring injury) the worst Lev will be is a top 4 D for a decade. I have heard from some scouting reports that Demidov needs work on skating. You can debate merits on the different leagues they played in, most would put the NCAA as a stronger league than the Russian Juniors.

KD needs to add a top 6 player AA and Hall will not be playing a full year and if he believes so he’s a fool they are not dependable. I know we’re not ready to compete for a playoff spot just yet but give Bedard someone decent to play with would hate to see him get loser burnout and not want to resign with the Hawks

Levshunov is not a sure thing. Demitov is injury prone. Iginla is a sure top six and will get better. That flashy stuff don't fly in the NHL. ask McDavid.

If Chicago Does take Levshunov I "really" hope Anaheim takes Demidov even if he isn't the perfect Verbeek type player. His potential offensive skillset is just too high. Then again, if Chicago does take Demidov Levshunov will be the perfect future first line RD the Ducks very much want.

I'm an Avs fan from across the pond, but if Blackhawks don't take DemiGOD it will be a huge mistake, now that's not to say Lev ain't a great prospect for the franchise option at opposite end of ice but they gotta go Demi

@irishrootsQ it's not a matter of kowing better than management its an opinion from seing clips, Lev looks like a great project but if im gonna be honest although he probably has the highest ceiling in defenseman category he's not blowing others away atm. Demi on the other hand offers an immediate return and with game time and adapting to the speed of the NHL he's the best option on table by a country mile.

@@rayvolk9662 More then that most likely. For context Duncan Kieth played 2 full years of AHL hockey and then when he came to the NHL. Then he looked pretty rough for his frist two seaons. Defense takes a long time to develop.
