From Michigan and we do a similar thing after prom, not ALL kids do this but I would say where I grew up a majority would go up north and get a cabin on or near a beach for the weekend after prom. I remember my JR year I didn't go to prom but my best friend was asked by a SR girl to go as friends, he said he would only go if he could bring a friend since he didn't really know anyone and I came along and had no idea what I was getting myself into lol, I mean I knew we were partying but not to this level lol and my Senior year when I did go to prom we just went back to the same cabins since we had such a great time. Some other kids will go to Cedar Point but that is usually reserved for the weekend of the last week of school. Both fun places but two totally different experiences lol
