Get a some level of draft capital, add a small piece or two, keep that top 10 protected pick. Gain roster flexibility and build on young core. Also give that core some more run when you trade Lavine and Vuc.

Has anyone considered that anyone the bulls pick in the draft could turn out to be a bust just like Anthony Bennett or James Wiseman? Like tanking a season to get a chance, not a guarantee, at the number one pick to get a guy like Flagg (no shot any team is picking anyone else over him) is kind of ridiculous. I just don’t see how that is so readily accepted by anyone. Sure Flagg looks really good, he’s played well against NBA talent, and he’s looking really good at Duke rn. But at the end of the day what happens if we tank the season and don’t end up with a top 5 pick? The Pistons were the worst team in the NBA last year and they got the 5th pick. I mean the Hawks got the first pick this past draft and they were a play-in team( tbf, the odds were def against it…but it still happened). So, I def want to see the Bulls keep winning games or at least trying to win games.

In this life all the winnimg teams have taken big risks, and if it didn't workout they would continue to until they hit it big. If you don't takes big risks when the problems become ongoing then, there won't be sucess. Sure the Bulls need a plan that they can see through first. But whatever they decide to do. they can't have that what if mentality going forward. That's how you end up overthinking and making mistakes.

I got Vuc to Phoenix for Nurkic n some picks. NO or GS are good destinations too. I could see Vuc fitting in effortlessly with the way he’s shooting with the Dubs. He’s played up his value big time. LaVine still plays terribly in crunch time.
