Always loved the CC logo on the trailers with the Chicago Central in the green diamond and the almost " oh we really should add the & Pacific " hanging off the edge like an after thought. First clip on 2/10/96 is one of those rare ones where I can tell you exactly what I was doing on that date almost 33 years later. Was at a sci-fi convention in Itasca with some friends. One of those friends was a young lady that until earlier that day was just a purely platonic, just one of the guys friend that something clicked and she wasn't just one if the guys anymore. Took three weeks to put my cards on the table but we married just under a year and a half later and had a good run together until the til death we do part portion of the vows was activated almost 11 years ago.

I live in Rockford IL...Back in the 90's I used to watch a late evening east bound cc&p go through town...Going from the West to East Side of Rockford, there is a severe uphill grade...One August Evening, it was extremely hot and humid...The East Bound was being led by 5 exMilw GP20's...The locomotives where being run full boar- They were screaming! At the top of the grade, the train was all but stalling...I watch a crew member climb off the lead engine and he was measuring forward progress one ballast stone at a time...This went on until the train began to get some momentum...
