I do have a question on why there is a more interest in moving Cassie than other OF prospects. The concern that I have is purely from a built standpoint, Kaci has the highest exit velocity in the minor league system for the Cubs. he has that degree of prodigious power .Even though he has swing and miss in his swing if you compare him versus Kevin Alcanterra, he projects for a much higher home run potential. Several of the minor league analyst state that he’s literally the only person in the system that projects over 35 of 40 home runs versus everybody else in the cup system is projected to hit 20 to 25. I would rather move Kevin Alcanterra in a move for Kyle Tucker. When looking at Cassie, i see a Yordan Alvarez type of a swing. he also has the added benefit of projecting as a first base Prospect.

Don’t forget this offseason, one of the main goal for Jed is to find place to play Cassie and Shaw! So trade Parades and Suzuki for Tucker is perfect, another prospect should be no more than the 7th prospect for a one year rental.

From what I've heard, the Astros was a corner IF and pitching back. Cubs could offer either Brown and Triantos or Paredes and Drew Gray or up to Wesneski level. After that, I think a trade to the Yankees sending Nico and Belling for pen or prospects to clear up more money and roster room. As for Tucker wanting to test FA, que sera sera. Put 8Y340M on the table, including this year, and see if he likes it. It would be an overpay for this year of Arbitration (25M) and then essentially be 45M per year the other 7. Other than perhaps length, that's what he's probably looking at next season should he stay healthy. Hopefully the Cubs will get over not putting out the big contracts.

Again, would love to have him. Great player, but the Cubs absolutely need to extend him if they do this, and Tucker being able to command probably $300-400M on the open market, I'd be very surprised if the Cubs do that contract. And it still doesn't solve our pitching problems.

I don't think Jed gets outbid on Tucker. I really don't. He knows he needs a 3 Hole hitter that's a Star bad. This is That Guy!!! If Vlad was available it would be him. If it's Alcantara and Suzuki our best prospect plus Suzuki, I'm fine with it. If Suzuki would play DH I'd prefer to keep him. Japan plays half the games Mlb does so playing DH would keep him healthy and his bat going. Could be a Mvp at DH.

I don't think anybody has a problem with the Cubs giving up "a lot" but instead what is included in that? The Cubs need a star hitter in the middle of the lineup. They already have a very good hitter in Suzuki so you would like to pair him with someone. Tucker would be fantastic for that. However, if you trade Suzuki, Paredes, ++ for Tucker, then you are in the same exact situation where you are still looking for another big bat in the middle of the lineup.

Im leaning towards no in this tucker rental. Seiya has been best bat we’ve had sure he isn’t tucker productive, but the money/contract tucker will want has not been favorable for cubs signings in the recent past. And to give up caissie or smith is foolish for everything we’ve seen this team trying to accomplish over the past years which is developing farm players into future stars of OUR own
