I've seen that first hand when I was a kid. My dad's department lost three members in a big warehouse fire and a year later they put the names of the three fallen members on the side of the rig. That was fifteen years ago and the rig is still in service as a reserve engine

Being Ukrainian I can understand Russian, what Otis said before he died - there should have been a follow-up where three men in uniform stand by Otis' memorial. One is trying to attach something to it., Hermann and Cruz come out and at first are incensed but then in broken English one of the men explains that they are from Chernobyl Fire Company 7 the company whose men ran into the deadly Reactor 4 at Chernobyl. Otis' uncle was one of those who ran in, and they are attaching a medal from the Ukrainian government given to the relatives of the heroes of Chernobyl....Cruz hugs the man attaching the medal and helps him complete the job, in his mind he hears the words Otis spoke. When its done, all step back and salute the memorial and FF Otis.

This sort of reminds me when my great-uncle died. He lived in a really small town and he was the founder of said town's firehouse. Served there until old age pulled him out of service after nearly 40 years. His funeral was held in the engine floor and a plaque with his name was placed in the chief car. An engraving of his favourite truck is on his tombstone
