I dont recall seeing the horn players showing this much enthusiasm when Cetera sang this song during his time in Chicago. In fact some (band members) were ticked off that "Hard to say I'm sorry" was chosen as the first single release from CHICAGO 16 in 1982. Phony fools.

Problem is Cetera WAS the band Chicago. His unique voice assured nobody can replace him - without being great at copying him. Much like Steve Perry w/Journey. Had either bands recurred great newer stuff without their iconic lead singers, well that would make it easier to listen to but thus guy ruins this song. IMO anyway- & MO is just that & of no major influence nir consequence… nor do/would I ever claim it is 😊
