Great interview ! Thanks Dave. Lee is a true class act. The first four Chicago albums were the best. Jazz/ rock/ funk. There was always a menacing undercurrent to the sound of the horns playing together that was quite ominous. No other group could reproduce it. The sound of Chicago has always been defined by the sound of the best horns and reeds in the business ! Thanks Lee, Walt, and Jimmy for your artristry. Been listening since '68. Much love to you, Dean.

One of nicest people you will ever meet. He was very generous to my brother and I at a meet and greet in KC. Quite a thrill for us being trumpet players and I being a band director.

I met the band 2 years ago and politely put myself between Lee and Robert. So sweet! Epic moment in my life!

Lee wrote two of my favorite songs: Call on me and No tell lover.

Peter Cetera and Danny Seraphine co-wrote "No Tell Lover" with Loughnane, and Cetera structured the bass line so he could also sing the lead vocal on "Call On Me" without taking a co-writing credit.

When I got into Chicago all I wanted to do is play their brass lines and buy a Getzen trumpet because Lee endorsed it😊

Lee Loughnane was probably the most likable of the original Chicago band members, basically the opposite of James Pankow.

I hate how happy he was to play with Peter Cetera again. Hopefully they get that chance. I love this group but I respect their decisions.
