I wish I could sing in a choir; I wish I could play my guitar for Jesus. The people in black churches are so mean. You got fight the whole "ruling" family just to attend service. Maybe if they actually knew how to be more like Jesus, more people will feel welcomed in the church. Black church is about exclusion: no whites, no gays, no disabled people, no short men, and no people outside of the pastors family is permitted nor welcomed. They especially don't want to worship in their church if you're not related to anyone there. That's why I gave up on church.

Sorry you've had some bad experiences. Keep singing, playing your guitar and searching for your home church. It's out there somewhere and your worship talents are needed! Pray and follow the spirit! @@jazzytreez I'm soooo sorry, yet so happy that you still have a desire to serve and share your G-d-given gifts! 3 years is a long time of hurting, so it's clear your wings were clipped. Yet, maybe some fresh feathers are sprouting and getting ready to take flight! I don't even know where you live nor what church options you might have. Yet, having gone through a hurtful experience, I realized that none can come between My Lord and me. That conviction started me on my way back. I wish I could help you in your search, as so many churches would love you and your wife's contribution. Yet, I'm certain you will find that church home...and I hope when that happens you will share your success and happiness with me and others! Anyone reading this, please pray for this faithful couple to find their way home!? With prayer and search (ask others and maybe internet search, too!) I'm certain the path will become clear. @@tamarawharton7755 I thank you sooo much for your kind words and encouragement. I wish I had at least one family/friend in my life like you. I can't even talk to my mother about God. I can only observe how it must feel to be loved within a family...But, yeah, I'll find a church. I'm looking into a Seventh Day Adventist because the keep the Sabbath. I'm VERY hesitant, I just don't want to run into the same issues again. Black people are so power-hungry these days. They do anything/everything to hurt each other, but do nothing to defend each other from REAL threats. All I'm trying to do is love God and it's so hard.

So sorry you can't turn to your family for support, but there is always the Savior! Plus, it sounds like you have a good wife who is a believer, too. I avoid stereotyping any group of people...especially where the African American believers here are so awesome! I have 2 churches here I especially love to visit for powerful uplift when times are tough. I find everyone loving and friendly, unlike your experience. I don't know about music with the 7th Day Adventist, but keep searching if they don't have an active music program, as you are being called to share your musical gifts. Some churches have small groups who gather for musical worship, along with congregational choirs and musicians. I know my son found his pastor and congregation via the net, if you can believe that! So, who knows where your prayer may be answered! I'm actually quite excited to hear where you will be called! Keep your heart open, love everyone and know that The Lord has a place for you in His Plan! I believe in you...and so does He! Best to you and yours! 🙏😇💞👣✨🕊️
