Vice President Harris is in charge of immigration and the migrant issue. She should establish rules and guidelines for sheltering and providing care for migrants. The first thing she should apportion migrants to each state according to that state's population. This would be fair so every state can do their part - again fairly in terms of distribution numbers. The second thing Harris should do is ensure that migrant children are with their parents, because exploitation of kids is terribly real. The third thing to do is screen migrants for drugs; over 90 percent of fentanyl comes across the southern border and we need to stop it or at least slow it down. Fourth: tell communities that they must abide by the federal and state government decisions about where migrant camps will be located. No NIMBY stuff. Every neighborhood needs to do their share as well - and rich white neighborhoods should also provide shelter for migrants.
